Hello! Did or didn't your Golf start before you replaced the ignition coil? My Golf started perfectly fine one day and dead next morning. I now have to push-start him, so I wonder if I have the same problem as you did.
@EnglishLaw6 жыл бұрын
Does the starter make a noise when attempting to start? If no noise of starter, then it could be the starter itself, the starter solinoid of bad grounding wire. (IE wire has come off the engine grounding). The reasons I address it from that angle is that pushing a car wouldn't have much relationship to the coilpack.

what are the things that can cause a misfire on a 2002 VW Jetta ? i took it to two different shops they said they couldn't get a code when they hooked it up to a obd scanner.1 of the shops said whatever it is can harm the catalack converter and maybe the transmission i know that the car don't go in reverse until it reaches 194 degrees.some 1 tell me what could that be for that misfire ?And what's the best obd 2 scanners for a misfire ?

just couple of things to u can get some grease lub for the spark plug boot to make sure no moisture doesn't get in there and nothing else but good connection and check the connecter is clean to that can cause issues just little fyi man and dang that car is got some bad rust issues the rust might kill it before the engine or whatever else's goes lol never seen that on a engine before like that

Hi, my 2011 Jetta started misfiring I replaced the Spark Plugs and it continued misfiring then I replace the Coil with an aftermarket one for $19 bucks, It ran great for like 4 months and again started misfiring, should I get a genuine coil from the dealership or maybe my Jetta is destroying coils due to another failure? Thank you.
@EnglishLaw6 жыл бұрын
Might be worth trying a new coilpack, since $19 sounds very cheap. On the other hand, what about the HT leads from the pack to the sparks. These are as essential as the pack and the plugs, and will often not show any wear even when broken. Essentially, micro sparks start escaping the outer shield. Also, check that your ground wire is fully secure and making good contact. (The big black wire bolted to somewhere metal in the lower engine bay (I don't know Jetta specifically). Other things that can cause the same symptoms are below and these _are_ okay to be cheap versions in my experience: Crankshaft position sensor Camshaft position sensor Engine temperature sensor And, the wiring for these items. Check that the plugs on the sensors are all correct, even the plug on the coilpack. best wishes.

Thank you Hey Micky, I got a new genuine coil and everything is working perfectly now. I guess cheap eBay parts aren’t reliable, lesson learned.
