Heads up to anyone buying this car. These transmissions tend to have bad synchros and sleeves, coupled with a weak second gear. Milan has a great video on the ktuned Clutch master and slave replacement. That along with shifter bushings is a must with this car. Honda hit me with a 15,000$ repair bill on a bad transmission (I don't even know how that's possible as the replacement trans is cheaper), and they refuse to cover it as there's no proof (I have a video posted to show the shavings in my trans fluid). That's why I'm super stoked to see your video on the clutch replacement and transmission removal. Our power steering rack doesn't like to come off the subframe up here in Canada from the rust due to road salt. Anyone has experience or good pointers to aid with this? Or is dropping the rack with the subframe the best bet? Props to the best video tutorials on car parts, you manage to make everything easy to see in the shot, and easy to follow.

If you're getting the hasport mounts get the 70. I got the 62 and it's much much better than stock. But still a little soft. The vibrations and noise are almost the same between the two. And yes it will shake a bit at first. Calms down after a month of driving. It still vibrates a bit. But it's not crazy. Approved by my family who hates loud/modified/aggressive feeling cars. It's the best first mod in my opinion. It's cheap, easy to install. Car is way more responsive, and it's a little louder. Makes the car feel more sporty.

Something gotta give if there’s no flex on the suspension or the motor mounts. It will destroy axles and transmission
@thomascanning5953 жыл бұрын
I doubt it will…
@gedas34193 жыл бұрын
actually constant wheelspin is a lot better for longevity, rather than that hitting noise during launch. It grips up, it tenses up the suspension rubber, it tenses up the engine mounts, only then it spins "torques-up" the wheels, when torque breaks traction, then it releases that tension like slingshot, and again tenses, drops tension, tension, no tension. Actually that play IS DAMAGING. That's why drifters Solid aluminum mount their rear subframes, have Heim-joints in suspension instead of rubber, and after full day of clutch-kicks on 265's semi slicks, they get home without a single broken axlehalf. Imagine drift car go entire drift doing CH-CH-CH-CH-CH sounds NO.
