We had it. It was called Super Saturday, we were taught by 3 or 4 members of the high school drama club. Oh I'm so glad there weren't phone cameras then... edit: to be clear this was the High Schoolers volunteering to do this on a Saturday. (I could ask my older friend who was one of the actors who ran it if they were paid but the point is I'm still friends with him!) They did short classes in all topics all over the school, like 45 minutes and you had many topics and had to find the right rooms, create your own schedule in the high school where the courses were. Improv was one I did. I'm sure the subject matter was "potato, hahahah" but still. I haven't thought of that in 20 years.

@Bob Jones We have math classes in all school levels. The issue is the way we teach math, we force all kids to learn 1 to 3 subjects each week, and to never slow down. This works for some kids but clearly its not working for everyone else. On top of the way kids learn, standerized testing ruins kids lives
