Here’s Langtree Ave the way most of you will remember it. This short news clip from the mid 70’s shows the shopping strip the way it used to be, as the cameraman captures a typical shopping day from a centre parking bay outside Bowrings and Shillidays. You’ll then get a chance to stand on the old bridge in another short clip to see just how busy it used to get crossing the narrow lift span.

Probably filmed Saturday morning when everyone used to get out before the stores all closed at midday.. itcwas always busy then coz nothing was open till Monday again
