So interesting seeing an business owner talk about scale, complexity and scope of running such a mega extensive enterprise. I felt overwhelmed for you at the task and goal you have made for yourself. Well done and keep up the great work. Keep making these videos please.

Awesome way to help your fellow local business owners.this country needs more of that and a lot more of it especially in the cities and even high condensed rural areas. There are people who honestly can't afford to shop at these places. But then there are hypocrites who spend a huge portion of their salary on alcohol and nicotine. Sorry if it sounds like I'm making a judgment call cuz I guess I am but hell. Somebody needs to call these people out.

Mighty Chuck, I am a big fan of MHC and I love these videos. I totally understand your point with reference to back issues. Can you please tell us something more about your price policy for newly released comics? Why are the priced $1 more than cover price? Thanks!

It should end with him saying "This is Chuck Rozanski and that's why I screw over my buyers with CRAZY high prices and my sellers with CRAZY low prices." Seriously, take a high grade key book to him at a show and have him make an offer, he'll offer you 1/20th of the price he has on the same book right in front of you!! He's a scam artist who's still living off of the first collection (The Edgar Church Collection) he bought and screwed the widow out of paying her PENNIES on the dollar for the highest graded books from the Golden and Silver age ever found. THAT'S how he started his business, by getting lucky with finding a great collection and cheating an old lady out of it. Nice going Chuck, the Devil is awaiting your soul.

I don't think McGuckins is an accurate model for Mile High. For one The hardware store isn't trying to hold onto product because they don't really want to sell it. Their pricing isn't based on selling books near the top of what the market could bare, Chuck talks about this with his algorithms. The hardware store is charging premium because they are an independent with lower buying power and their prime location costs money. Mile High real estate premium is because they have 3 warehouse when 1 would be more economical, their location adds nothing to the cost and they offer no benefits to the consumer in having 3 locations. This has since changed since the video was made, and the prices didn't really improve because of the savings.

Why are the prices so crazy high huh? I cannot purchase from your insanely large inventory because of the astronomically high prices!

MHC has an insanely huge operating cost as explained by CHUCK ROZANSKI. Were it far smaller and less complicated, they could keep the costs of running the business far lower than they do now.

This guy makes me sick...Mile high prices. 3-5 times the going rate for his books.

Tommy45564 people feel so entitled to things. Sure it sucks to see prices higher than the market (I think your understanding of market aggregate is flawed), but that is THEIR prerogative. Don't buy from them, I don't because most of the stuff I am interested in I think is over significantly over priced. Remember, comics are only worth what someone is willing to pay.
