This was a great game. There were two bad calls. Both went in favor of the Broncos. There was a fumble recovered in the first half by Champ Bailey. It should have been overturned, but for some reason the replay equipment wasn't working. Then Cutler fumbles the ball and referee Ed Hochuli blows it dead before the Chargers record. I think that's why Coach Shanahan went for two to win the game at the end. It was such a crazy game you might as well go out swinging.

I always thought if Mike Shanahan stayed in Denver Cutler might have turned out better than what he's known for. He had his best season of his career in Denver and him vs. Rivers would have made for a good rivalry.

I've been a season ticket holder for Denver since 1976. This is a classic reason why Jay Cutler didn't last in Mike High. Two halves of a completely different leader. It's also lead to the reason Mike Shanahan wasn't long for Denver either.

The 08 Broncos were one of the most talented teams to not make the playoffs. Wonder what would've happened if they never fired Shanahan and by default kept Cutler.

@@raymondsmith2040 Well, 1st I don't know if the correlation between the statement that if Shanahan hadn't been fired that Cutlers job would be 'safe'. Cutler was let go because of his money demands, inconsistent playing and DIVA attitude. I don't believe that Shanahan would have met his demands any differently. 2nd. To say that 'The 08 Denver team was the best team 'not to make the playoffs' is like saying that the $40 Ribeye steak you ordered at a restaurant would have been great IF it had ever been delivered to my table before I left the restaurant. Lol.
