This video starts very close to my home of 5 years. This is the best place I have ever lived in my 63.5 years on the planet!

That's far more bus and bike lanes than I'm used to. Must be nice.

Speed limit signs in Oregon famously omit the "limit" and just day "Speed 20"

Some might be surprised Portland is as old a city as it is. It is also very compact with all the rivers, and that makes for sometimes confusing and difficult traffic patterns. It's progressive government has gone whole-hog on traffic calming, walkability, bicycle routes and public transit. The interstates are among the oldest in the system, especially I-84 (I-80N), which originally ended at the Burnside Bridge before I-5 was completed. The later I-405 inner loop, just west of downtown; I-205 through the eastern side on into Vancouver, WA, and US 26 from I-405 and OR 217 loop on the west side. It's much like it's East Coast counterparts

Portland is a vibrant city but downtown has had a tough time recovering from Covid era work-from-home trends that emptied a lot of office building space. Also the protests/ riots of 2020 have made many people unwilling to venture into the city again. But it is recovering and has been cleaned up], and the James Beard Public Market starts opening next year right in the heart of downtown which will really drive a lot of foot traffic. Several food cart pods are also recently opened or about to open in the next few months. It's a great city and I think downtown is turning around nicely.
