Canada is the land of opportunity. More than 30 years living there, I have loved Canada more and more, wonderful people, caring government. As you say money is good but Canadians in overall are not slaves of money, we enjoy using money to make our country prosperous and healthy.

Thanks, fell in love with the talk + the smile ,its authentic. My elder bro once travelled to Canada with 2 degrees, one in physics and then the other economics, met some bit of challenges just because of the mental attitude he set before living. He wanted to be chilling in the office to defend his status but he ended up in cleaning the toilets,I tell u,that point of conversion from chilling in the office to cleaning was tough for the guy,the neck got enlongated, but was just because he lacked proper information b4 coming there. Now all who have hard will travel with an open mind, thanks dear friend.Am Martin from Uganda.

Truck driving in Namibia is a huge profession they make good money. And if you own a plus’s but not easy off course to own. Coming to USA I have seen even on different level the importance of truck driving. That’s hell of a lucrative profession and business too in USA.

Those socalled big titled white collar jobs is a third world mentality. The jobs that pays the most are everything trades ie HVAC,electricians, plumbers, trucking etc.The typically plumber makes more money than bank managers here and these fields need people. The other areas is anything health care not just personal support worker ie psw which is entry level. We all need to start somewhere while working on building up,this is where survival jobs come into play ie cleaners, security job's,and general labourers.Get certification but dont study useless things ie humanity,Phycology, and other liberal arts degree that goes no where. You need to build your credit and buy your home and start a homebase business.I am from the carribean and Canada been good to me and i want to see my people come and thrive in Canada. The well to do Canadians are conservative,a general contruction contractors could be a blue collar millionaire and dont know, the same for any enterprising trades person.Wake up and dont look down on anyone in Canada, they key is make as much money as possible and build your credit.

I want them to know a tradesman meaning those who work hard nearly everyday using their handd to fix or create that r essential services for everyday living make lots money n some work privately n still on the side for themselves . If ur car needs servicing, ur hair needs doing the AC needs fixing etc. They r neefed just put ur money to good uses stay focused eat healthy exercise n dont forget ur children family bk home please.

Hey Milile. You reminded me of the canadian dream that i've failed to see these 3 years in canada. I agree every job is noble, you dont look down on anyone in Canada. there is dignity in labour. skilled trades are good but people have to be passionate about it. At the same time, some people dont find fulfilment and satisfaction working lower/casual jobs, thats the truth. Cleaning, waitressing, skip & uber drivers, hair dressers, babysitters, they are all good ideas. You gave a good summary and opened peoples' eyes overall. thanks!

Thank you for talking about the need to remove the stigma for certain jobs. I really appreciate you elevating the work of PSW, Servers and those in the trades. You're right these are well paying jobs and there is dignity in the the work as well.

While it has come so clear how to make money in Canada it's also important to know how the living standards are like. Is it possible to make too much and end up spending it all on utilities and other expenses?

Gross income - Taxes& other expenses = Net Cash. Specially if you're self-employed ad/or have business costs (rent, business taxes, etc). Business taxes & rent aren't a small ammount!
