It only lasted in 09 and 10 before the injuries. So you didn't miss alot but Austin was great in 2009. And was very much needed for that breakout year because T.O. was gone. And the other receivers were just below average slow guys.

Miles Austin could’ve been a HOFer and considered the best WR in the league at that time if his body didn’t betray him with injuries. He was an absolute beast.

Miles Austin was a good player but was never the best receiver in the league. He was a number 1 receiver for like a year or two. Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitz, Wes Welker all were better than him in his prime years.

this dude was always making plays in preseason, he just looked physically gifted and fast. Then we went on to sign roy williams after wasted 2 1st round picks on him...why? Only when Roy got hurt did Miles get a chance to shine, but how was it not evident in practice/training camp? Roy was slow, couldn't catch, looked like a sloth. You don't go from ghost in practice to superstar within a few weeks just because someone else got hrut without their being some total neglect on the coaching staff

Austin had hamstring issues after 2010, either missing games or playing injured so Austin was slower and couldn't cut that great anymore. It also didn't help that Romo missed almost the entire 2010 season. So really we only got to see 1 season with a healthy Austin starting with Romo as qb and that was 2009.
