When Goose played this song on the piano in the movie, his son was sitting on the lid of the piano. It would have been one of Rooster's last happy memories of his Dad. Given his character's age, it could be one of his few memories, but it probably would have made enough impact on the kid that he would of remembered it. Good scene and character development.

My wife who can't stand to leave the house to go to the movies went for the figure of Tom Cruise and loved it too. Top Gun: Maverick" proved that cinema doesn't have to be aimed at a single audience, it doesn't belong to a single "tribe". Teens, adults and seniors can enjoy the same experience, without needing a manual. It's been a while since I've seen so many people of different ages at the theater watching the same movie, I believe since the 90s maybe. So great to see the complete footage and not just what is shown in the movie. Miles Teller nails it ... a multi-talented man who can make just getting out of a truck look sexy. Perfectly cast as Rooster..

@@beepbeep670 yeah it was kind of just there, I didn’t really care for it but I also didn’t really mind it I’m just glad that it didn’t take up a huge portion of the movie

@@birchtree8028 holy cow I was just sitting there like ‘bro when can this end😭’ I don’t hate it but it’s just like,, as you just said, just there for no reason. Loved the movie tho. Watched two times

Has anyone else not noticed that the falling glasses makes this scene even more real and natural? Rooster might have kept on going if not for the glasses slipping off his nose 🤣.

Honestly, this is not a very good song, but Top Gun’s legacy elevated its status. Now it is a great song.

For real though I hope that Mav got help for his PTSD as well as Rooster (him lashing out at Hangman and Maverick is a sign that Rooster has PTSD as well)

I love the little details, like Bob’s nervous disposition slowly disappears over the course of the video as starts to loosen up.

i love that miles is getting lots of recognition now from this role. i remember loving him a few years ago when i was in my dystopian books phase and he was in the divergent series. he's such a talented guy, and he seems like a lot of fun, too!

Lyrics: You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain Too much love drives a man insane You broke my will, but what a thrill Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire I laughed at love 'cause I thought it was funny But you came along and you moved me, honey I changed my mind, this love is fine Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire Kiss me, baby Ooh, that feels good, baby Hold me, baby I wanna love you like a lover should You're fine, you're so kind I'ma tell the world that you're mine, mine, mine, mine I chew my nails, and I twiddle my thumbs I'm getting nervous, but it sure is fun Come on, baby, you're driving me crazy Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire Kiss me, baby Ooh, that feels good Hold me, baby I wanna love you like a lover should You're fine, you're so kind I'ma tell the world that you're mine, mine, mine, mine I chew my nails, and I twiddle my thumbs I get nervous, but it sure is fun C'mon, baby, you're driving me crazy Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire!
