About Top Gun:
After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose.” Facing an uncertain future and confronting the ghosts of his past, Maverick is drawn into a confrontation with his own deepest fears, culminating in a mission that demands the ultimate sacrifice from those who will be chosen to fly it.

Everyone told me that it was good, but I was still a little skeptical because I usually hate when they try do remakes and sequels of classic films like this. I thought, “No way this movie is that good, surely they’re overhyping it.” They weren’t. This movie WAS that good, and dare I say it, better than the original. One of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time.

@@Leo-pq3gt My top 3 favorite Tom Cruise movies are probably Top Gun: Maverick, The Last Samurai, and Edge of Tomorrow. He’s got so many though, it’s hard to really narrow it down to just three. Top Gun, Rain Man, Mission Impossible, Cocktail, Jerry Maguire, Collateral, War of the Worlds, A Few Good Men, Days of Thunder, Minority Report, etc. A lot of Cruise’s movies are classics, he’s one of the last truly great Hollywood movie/action stars. And the fact that a lot of people consider Top Gun Maverick to be one of his best films out of all those great films is a testament to how good this movie really is.

Someone played this and sang it at my piano recital yesterday, that kid hadn’t went through puberty yet and there were a lot of voice cracks 😟

After growing up with the Spider-Man movies, MCU, Transformers and everything else us 2000s kid had its nice to see a movie be so damn good. I didn't see Tom Cruise no I saw Maverick. Everything and everyone worked really well together. I got choked up during this scene and when Ice died. It felt like I was right there in the middle. This is what a movie should be. An experience like no other 10/10 will watch again.

It’s like Revenge of the Sith, you think it’s going to be bad since the movies before were bad or movies in the same genera were bad. But it turns out to be great Spider-man 3 was great tho

@@KRDecade2009 I wouldn’t say Revenge of the Sith is that much better. It’s clearly the best of the prequels, but still has most of the baggage that the first two has.

Have you ever seen a movie where they just got everything... perfect. The perfect casting, the perfect scenes, the perfect action, just... a movie where you go in with certain expectaitons, and those expectations were actually met, and then some? You don't get many movies like that nowadays - which is a damn shame. Which is why movies like Top Gun: Maverick are precious diamonds that should be treasured through all time.

@@totallynotbrucewayne6215 Movie was great. The only dissapointing thing about it, was the soundtrack, considering the first one had a killer soundtrack with many hits, I was expecting more. Besides One Republic's songs soundtrack was lame and forgetable.

@@y6shda it's sadly just a nostalgia bait movie. Buts all down to opinions. A lot of felt forced. It also did have an agenda. To make money for Tom cruise who's a hard-core scientologist. I don't support Tom due to him being a terrible person
