I don't hate to say it. It is better than the original by a country mile. I was grown when the original came out, too. It was fun, but it didn't stay with you. Goose's death humanized Maverick, but the character was kind of shallow. The latter day version of the character is like night and day. More appealing as a character. I like older Pete MItchell Younger Pete MItchell, not so much.

Not a fan of moustache but there are a rare few men who can pull it off. Usually better if beard and stache. Sometimes mustache does not look good while they are under 25yo but later at a more older age the mustache is perfect something that Miles has proven.
