I became a fan of Miles after Whiplash. As a jazz player myself, that film truly resonated with me as I had a trumpet teacher that was abusive and a perfectionist. He was also great in Maverick. I waited years for the sequel and was not disappointed. If he goes after bold roles that challenge him emotionally and physically... he can be one of the best actors of this generation.

definitely see it- I’m probably younger than most people who saw the original top gun (I still have yet to see it) and I don’t usually enjoy action films. my aunt had me go see top gun maverick with her and it really was a very enjoyable film with fun, heartfelt moments and wonderful performances from the lead actors.
