I love that her character is strong, smart and skilled without being preachy. Not a single male character in this movie is sexist or chauvinist. She's part of the family. That is the best way to deal with sexism in movies: removing it entirely from the script, instead of trying to lecture the audience.

@BDog5410 ай бұрын
Even the fact that they had Bill Pullman's son star in the movie, gave the movie an extra layer of nostalgia and beauty. Top Gun Maverick brings back the 80s/ 90s era of big budget thrilling action blockbusters, so to have the son of Bill Pullman, who himself starred in one of the biggest 'save the day' action blockbusters in the form of Independence Day, was somehow quite moving to witness. Top Gun Maverick is about the elder statesmen of flying passing the torch to a new generation of pilots, so it's like life imitating art with Bill passing on the acting torch to his son.
