My grandpa got the Medal of Honor in WW2. His gunship was trying to take off. They had just taken on survivors, and the Zeros (Pacific Theater) were coming back around. They killed the pilot, the co-pilot, and half the crew. Grandpa had to leave his turret position and get them off of the water. He saved the remaining crew and all of the officers who had been in the water. He wasn't all messed up. And he didn't die. You CAN show extraordinary valor without losing life or limb. It is just that if you did lose life or limb rescuing people, yes, you showed valor.

If you have ever served, USMC here, that statement alone should state the most bigly of the obvious. He has 0 ZERO respect for us which he feels he deserves yet he forgets that respect is earned, not given. While the civilian award is an amazing achievement on its own, to imply that it is better is such a selfish thing to say only because​ people paid you enough in cash so you could say it. The medal of Honor is given to those who earned it by giving their blood.. The ones who did what needed to be done not for recognition, nor favors or forgotten promise's. They did it because that one moment has allowed you to be able to live the way you do. WE have served and sacrificed so you can have a choice and not one chosen for you. Completely unfit as a commander in chief. USMC are the President's own. I served 4 years from 1961 to 196 in the Navy. I was on an LST for three years and were never in any danger that we were aware of. We spent most of our deployments to Panama and went to central and south American countries. I missed being sent to Viet Nam by 8 days. I was acquainted with some Army Special Forces soldiers who had their jungle warfare school in Panama. Their team got sent to Viet Nam and many of them did not make it back. I still don't understand what we were doing there even after all these years. Trump dodged the draft back then by getting a phony medical deferment from a doctor who rented space in one of his father's building. Heal spurs supposedly! Him commenting on veterans and the medals that they have earned, usually at some great cost. and should be held accountable for all of the things he has done and managed to get away with. I wonder what has happened to our government that lets someone like Trump to go unpunished.
