They had to honor pre existing deals with Fox and Sony for movie rights to specific brands and characters. In all other media and in merchandising Disney retained the rights to both X-Men and Spider-Man.

That's a fair point, but on the other hand Haunting Grounds is different than MvC2 in the sense that that there really isn't much demand for that ip, at least not in comparison to Mahvel. Not saying that guarantees anything, but as far as things that Capcom is likely to care about? MvC2 beats out Haunting Grounds.

I just played MvC2 last night for the first time at a barcade in Indianapolis. Its the first Capcom vs. game I've played, and I was surprised just how easy it was to pick up the game. I played all kinds of goofy set ups, but my favorite team from last night was Sentinel, Little Red Riding Hood, and Cammy. Cammy, Psylocke, and Wolverine was super fun too! My friend had played MvC 3, but it was his first time on 2 as well. Thanks for talking about the game because I probably wouldn't have paid attention to the machine when I was there last night.
