Some people may question Billy's crazy loyalty to Geese, but Geese basically became a father figure to him. In his backstory, he was an orphan adopted by Geese, who thought he could be usefu due to his bo skills, but did treat him well, cause he saw some of him in Billy.

(KZbin didn't tell me Max uploaded a video. T_T So my comment is a little late.) KOF: Maximum Impact 2, otherwise known in North America as "The King of Fighters 2006"... Even though the MI series is non-canon and takes place in a continuity similar to the AOF and Fatal Fury timeline. I'd like to assume they renamed it to KOF 2006 as a marketing strategy. XP Anyway, this game might just be better than the last as it expands on the foundation built. We have more characters both old and new, and the gameplay just feels slightly better. As I mentioned in the last video, an online anime series called "KOF: Another Day" was created based off MI2's events (and even has some ideas from KOF XI). This game is a little important for Rock, even if he isn't the focus of the game (obviously, the focus is for the protags, Alba and Soiree). - This game has costumes again... but also has cosplays! Did you know that Terry actually cosplays as *Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear!?* YEAH! He does! There's a playthrough of the game with that costume on so look it up on YT! XD It doesn't end there though! There's a lot of fun cosplays! Rock can cosplay as his uncle, Kain R. Heinlein from MOTW, Wild Wolf (the alt. character to Terry) can cosplay as Rock and...Elvis!? Armor Ralf (more on that below) can cosplay as The TERMINATOR (how fitting lmao), regular Ralf as Marco from Metal Slug, Clark as Tarma from Metal Slug and also Dwayne Johnson!? It simply doesn't stop! Nightmare Geese can cosplay as his Young self from AOF2, Goenutz, and freakin' Lupin the III!? Look up the rest yourselves! It's pretty neat stuff I won't lie~ - Again, this game loosely takes place in the AOF+Fatal Fury timeline, specifically around the Garou Era. Following Geese's death in Real Bout Fatal Fury, Billy returned to the UK with his sister, Lilly. Though they surprisingly lived in peace, Billy was struggling with an inner desire to keep fighting and his desire to remain with Lilly. He makes his decision when he hears that Alba and Soiree were running South Town, now desiring to protect the legacy of Geese Howard. In addition to that and wanting to settle his differences with Terry, he is also here in search of Rock Howard, the son of the deceased Geese Howard; the latter of which is explored even more in the KOF: Another Day anime. - Billy is actually rather bitter and angry about Geese's death, and is actually explored in a canonical novel that was on cellphones called "Garou Dentetsu: Stray Dog, Stray Wolf"... Unfortunately, I simply CANNOT find this novel! I wanna read it so bad... Like the 15th anniversary movie for Fatal Fury, the novel takes place before Garou...WAY before Garou, like after the events of Real Bout 1. - Because a Mark of the Wolves sequel had yet to be released, Maximum Impact 2 is sorta of the game's take on the FF characters' actions following MOTW, including Terry, Rock, and Billy. - This game has a LOT of playable characters! We have newcomers like Fatal Fury/KOF residents Billy Kane and Kula Diamond, then we have the MI exclusives in the form of Nagase, Luise Meyrink (Sub-Boss), and Jivatma (Final Boss). However, that is not all! We have LOADS of hidden characters! B. Jenet from Garou, Kim Kaphwan, Ninon Beart (Mignon's younger, darker, yet more experienced sister), Hyena (the ugly host from MI1), Richard Meyer (from the very first FF game!), Nightmare Geese (Remember, he's dead in this continuity), Lilly Kane (Billy's little sister), Fiolina Germi! (From Metal Slug!?), Hanzo (From Samurai Shodown!?), Kyo Classic (plays like KOF '94-'95 and can actually charge his meter manually via the taunt button!), Wild Wolf (Garou/Future Terry), Mr. Karate II (Future Ryo), and Armor Ralf (an infamous version of Ralf!). - Unlike last game, MI2 got a updated release called KOF: Maximum Impact Regulation "A". However, this is exclusive to Japan, sadly. BUT, this game is interesting since in addition to extra characters (plus costumes) and new stages, we also have a KOF Staple brought back: TEAMS. Also, this is the only game in the MI series to get an Arcade release (on the Taito Type-X2). All of the hidden characters that you had to unlock in MI2 are all default characters in this version (I believe), but Armor Ralf is taken out of the game... Reasonably so! He's infamous for being INCREDIBLY broken! - Anyway, the newcomers for Regulation "A" include the titular Ash Crimson (I'd imagine the "A" stands for "Ash"), Blue Mary, Makoto Mizoguchi from the Fighter's History series, and finally Xiao Lon, the sister of Duo Lon (She's rather cute, I must say). - Strangely enough, there WAS going to be a "KOF: Maximum Impact Regulation "A" 2" but it was cancelled. I wonder what it would've been like... - The story is a follow up to MI1, but it turns out that despite Mephistopheles bailing from South Town after Duke's defeat, it's revealed that the gang was nothing but one of the many subgroups to the one true game-master, Addes. - Luise is the usual Sub-Boss for most. She is designed to be the "older sister to the Meiree Bros. with years of experience". She's in the tournament in search of her father who was kidnapped by the Addess organization, but she is also there to provide guidance and tips to the many participants of this year's KOF tournament, especailly to the Meiree Bros. with a past lost to them... Also she's an alien. An alien known as "Zoan". Yuuuuup. 7_7 - Fairy, Chizuru's theme song, will play as Luise's theme in the Neo Geo Land Stage. If I'm not mistaken, characters have a different theme from old games that play when you fight on that stage. I'm pretty sure that Stage is based on the Japan Team's Stage from KOF '95. Did you know that it was an actual place? Neo Geo Land was part of SNK's long-chain of amusement parks that lasted for about 10 years, from 1994 to 2004. It made numerous game appearances like this one, KOF '94 and '95, also in 2002 UM as well as Capcom vs SNK among others. - Jivatma is the final boss of this game as well as the leader of one of many subgroups of Addes called Kusiel and is also a member of the organization's top leaders, The Children of Kokaviel (this is waaay too confusing for the common players, fyi... T_T). Anyway this guy looks weird...which is funny because he's actually modeled after a Cockroach. Remember the cosplays I mentioned up top? He can cosplay as Iori and also...a genderbend/female version of himself... Yeah. The Developers nicknamed her "Hermes" for the record and the weird thing is that the genderbend version was partially made because the "gender ambiguity of Jivatma's Japanese vocal performance" and some off-hand comment about his general appearance by resident SNK member, Akihiko Ureshino. - Jivatma reveals that the Meiree Brothers have the power of an unknown entity known as "Judeim" and his power was split between the two brothers. He claims that he can activate Judeim at any point but strangely doesn't. He is also responsible for the order of the death of Lien's parents since they would not join Addes (much like Goenutz activated Leona's orochi blood so she'd murder everyone in her village because Leona's father, Gaidel, refused to help the Eight Heads of Orochi: The Hakkeshu). - Nagase and Duke are members of Addes and are also modified humans similarly to the likes of Maxima and Angel of NESTS. Nagase in particular is designed after both a Honey Bee and a ninja...that "fits in with the times". She's an intelligent yet highly arrogant girl who isn't even loyal to the Addes group, only fighting to test the limits of her power. She's also a fire wielder (though unlike, say, Ash Crimson, her fire powers are explained. Simple genetic engineering not related to Kyo). She dislikes "pretty boys" (like Kyo and Rock) but likes "older boys" (like Duke...and the deceased Geese). She's also a counterpart to Kula Diamond (opposite powers yet are both made to be human weapons for their organizations). - Canonically, Alba won the tournament (like last time). However, his brother, Soiree, is kidnapped and is not found. Alba and Louise appear to be together as they aim to find Soiree; likely would've led to a sequel of somesort. - In both this game and the last game, there was a secret stage based on Top Floor of Geese's Tower (AKA: Geese's usual stage in the FF games). In that stage, a remix of "Kiss for Geese" would play. Like I said, I personally think that this game is better than the orginal game, both gameplay wise and story wise (even if we're given waaay too much info for a KOF game that it makes it a bit confusing. lmao). I'm actually interested in some of the MI exclusive characters. If a 3rd MI game came out, we would've likely saw the conclusion the storyline but it's been over 10 years since Regulation "A"'s release and I don't think we're gonna get one. ^^; That's all for now!...Or maybe it will be? Doesn't look like Max has anymore plans to continue the Legacy... But if that's it then I had fun! ^w^

Just so Kim Kaphwan can have another female student aside from May Lee. lol But honestly, I think Falcoon probably intended to end this story with the 3rd entry. After all, KOF Sagas all have a rule of three (sans the Orochi Saga...though people like to say '94 is the Rugal Saga and reasonably so. Makes sense due to the fact it's nearly unrelated to '95 to '97 xp) I can see some interesting ideas with the Maximum Impact series, especially due to it's separate continuity from both KOF and AOF/Fatal Fury. But sadly, I don't think we'll ever get a proper game to conclude the story.

The alternate costume for Iori has an unlockable color based off of Shen. Many alts in this game have some resemblances to other characters. Maxima had one for Yashiro, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rock has one for Kaede from The Last Blade in his alt.

As stupid as this game was it was still one of my favorite kof games ever. I wished they would have at least made it a trilogy to finish the story. It left off on a cliffhanger and it bugs me still. The broken combos were soooooo fun.
