It took me about 6 hours to get one on my dex character, then on my strength build I got it first skeleton. And seeing him get it first skelly on not a dex build seems about right lol they only drop when you don’t need it

They have a stat allocation dedicated to go heavy into HP, then wield weapons that do not require levels (stats) to make powerful. Fully upgrade weapons beyond a natural progression point for that level. Then go invade people playing the game in a more organic fashion.

@@thiccandridicc Shortly Demon's Souls is just not balanced at all, especially because you can parry all weapons. You can only do that with a maxed out weapon in Demon's Souls. Dark Souls 1 and 3 takes your weapon level into the matchmaking system, while Dark Souls 2 has the Soul Memory system(total number of souls your character has ever obtained, including lost souls from deaths/or any way spent souls). Twinking in Demon's Souls is literally overkill and you have way too many options to be OP, you can even directly lose levels, so you don't even need to be very good at the game to twink. In Dark Souls 1 on very low SL it can be bad because of +10 armor upgrades with a low upgrade level weapon, in Dark Souls 2 its very hard without cheating or multi account using, but not impossible(the Soul Memory system is extremely punishing even if you never die). My favorite in this regard is DS2 Soul Memory system.... I would like Dark Souls 1, but the chain backstabs, naked dum dums, ghost hits and infinite parries makes that game pretty boring. Dark Souls 3 is overall the best, but i don't like doing parries/backstabs so not much is left to make builds that work for me, except ultra weapons and ppl with thousands of hours of playing can easily dodge heavy weapons, making the fights go literally forever until one of us leave. Still not including Demon's Souls i think twinking is pretty fun if you can do it alone by making a low level character in Dark Souls 2~3. Keep in mind that without cheating or lazy multi-account using its pretty hard to do and most ppl don't have multiple steam accounts with the game.

​​@@lordcarl3094 nah, I've invaded plenty of people going through Sen's fortress with probably not even a +10 weapon with a fully upgraded weapon and armor at level 50. They do not take weapon level into account in DS1, maybe in the remake, but the original definetly just didn't do it

Personally, What I'd like to see Bluepoint do next? The Legacy of Kain series. Starting with Blood Omen, possibly using this engine as that would work with the first game. Going from there all the way to Defiance. Keep as much of the original VO as possible.

I've played Demon's Souls for somewhere around 400 hours across three platforms (included emulated on PC), and despite concerted efforts to farm Pure Bladestone with all the discovery gear, I never found one by legit means. The only time I'd ever come across it was from a white phantom who gave it to me. I basically gave up on Dex builds as a result. But as I was typing this gripe and farming for souls and Moonshadestone with my caster... I finally stumbled across it by accident. Good god, the desire sensor works in mysterious ways.

Honestly I think there is a huge group of people who insist BB is better than other souls games simply because its "cool" to do so. There are countless reasons to play a DS title over BB and I would say only a couple reasons why BB is preferable. It's probably 4th on my list of souls games.

Max like eldritch horro more than he likes dragons and knights. All games from fromsoft are godlike but have different focuses. Sekiro and BB have a more active and faster combat system than the DS's so a fighting game nerd such as the dood would preffer that proactive playstyle over a more slow and reactive playstyle as in the older games. The problems come when the fanboys say things like "x soulsborn game is bad because x" and no, there are no bad soulsborn games just fanboys who are afraid of fun

@@JetBlack2024 Dark Souls 3 is the best entry to play next. It has the fastest combat of the Dark Souls trilogy, so it wont feel too jarring for you. 1 and 2 feel like you're playing in slow motion compared to Bloodborne

I can't say I agree 100% with your sentiment about how Bluepoint approaches the remake for Demon's Souls specifically. If it were so, then why change Yuria's outfit from being the recognizable feathery cloak to generic villager clothes? And losing the intimidating tone of King Allant's opening pre-fight? I will give them credit for graphical environmental improvements, that much is evident. But there are certain artistic liberations that they took which don't make sense.

I get what Max is saying about Metal Gear, but it doesn't seem like Bluepoint's goal is to respect the Director's vision, specifically. They're not out there making Director's cuts. It seems they focus more on respecting the original finished product from the whole entire original team. Specifically focused on the classic product. So based on what they've done so far, they should be only looking at what's in the PS1 disc. This point is clear after you beat Demon's Souls, and they roll the original credits after theirs, in its entirety. They didn't highlight Hidetaka Miyazaki's name as the director of Demon's Souls or anything, he is listed 2nd after the producer as part of the whole team.

BP has a specific way of handling their work and I respect it. Do I think that some of the ps3 jank should've been changed? Yeah I do. Okay so, forgive my ignorance (I have never beaten Demon Souls, Dark Souls was my first FromSoft game) but can anyone please explain why Max is having so much trouble killing the basic enemies of the area before Flamelurker? As well as doing any damage to Flamelurker himself of course. I mean this as no insult, I am genuinely curious as to what the strategy is meant to be for those enemies. Like.. he tried piercing and slashing damage, and tried magic, but nothing seemed to work. Those enemies seem unnaturally tank-y. What is the strat supposed to be? Is being under-leveled really the sole reason?

I'm assuming you mean the enemies in the mining area? The guys with the pickaxes are just dumb tank-y. Most won't even aggro unless you attack them and they give basically no souls. The only ones really worth fighting are the ones who attack you and the ones with the bags in their hands because they drop a ton of crafting materials. The big bugs in the caves are basically the same idea. There isn't really a strat there, just kill the ones you HAVE to in order to keep going and you can basically ignore everything else.
