Take loss as a way to learn. If you can, try and save when you lose to replay and see what you could have done differently! Be it the switch's crappy video save, or a capture card (hell, record with a phone on a stand)

Yea dude I'm so freaking happy. I used to play marvel vs Capcom 2 in the arcade back in the year 2000 and I would go against anyone I could. Sometimes win, sometimes lose. I played this game every day at the local arcade in my teens. I lived outside NYC and also used to watch the OGs like Justin and Yipes play at Chinatown Fair. I learned the ROM infinite, IronMan infinite, and nasty setups/tricks from watching them live every week and talking shop. I basically stopped playing fighting games seriously since this game and only have been a spectator of the FG community since, but now in my 40s I got this game, dusted off an old joystick I still had from decades ago, and the nostalgia and love to just lab in this game immediately came back. Who thought 20+ years later I'd still be labbing and playing a new generation in this game. Not me, but I am here for it.

I don't know if this is in the video (I doubt it) but I want to call attention to an exchange Max had with chat. Someone posted that the game being imbalanced and only top teams being viable in ranked is going to hurt the casual market for the game. Max got all condescending and basically said "Welcome to fighting games" and acted as if the person was a moron. But this collection, to revive the franchise is going to *need* casual players to pick up the collection. It's already at a deficit on PC and Xbox because it has no crossplay and the price tag is rather high. So, it's going to rely on word of mouth from people to purchase this. If all ranked is going to be try hards playing the same six characters it will *absolutely hurt the casual appeal of this collection*. If the hardcore audience is enough to sell for a MvC 5, then sure, but Max himself said this needs to sell several million copies and there isn't enough of a hardcore fanbase for that. I think it was really unfair of Max to treat that person the way he did. It's a valid concern for this collection and the future of the series.

Yeah, I'm only into MvC as a party game to play with my friends. I've always disliked playing fighting games online, especially MvC since everyone is playing the same 6 characters because of *the meta* because they are so desperate for the dopamine from winning. Max being defensive for MvC2 is unsurprising. Just like people who denied Iron Galaxy to patch 3rd Strike for the Online Edition. It's just extremely short sighted.
