Definitely still taking an x5m comp and pocketing the almost 60k difference. That being said I would much rather a lightly used m5cs over either any day‼️

It is a good looking suv in person and has features not many other cars have, it’s worth it if you want something unique and solid.

I previously had a 21 X5M, and now a 24 XM. I don’t miss the X5M at all. The XM has a larger, more comfortable interior, plus the way I’m treated and looked at in the XM is totally different. VIP everywhere I take it.

@@MilesPerHr the rear seat comfort was a selling point alone for me. That was one of my biggest complaints about the X5. Even the X3 has more comfortable rear seats.

Same. Just bought a ‘24 XM tonight too. Had a ‘22 X5 M50i 2 trucks ago (thanks, Lexus…), and this is just on a different level. Posher. Bigger. Harder edged. And so far love the PHEV component too, it’s already in hybrid or EV mode a ton, yet roars like a wildebeest so much more than an X5M/X6M. Side perk. Yes “more expensive” sticker, but the discounts are huge, the special rates are great, and you’ll walk out of any dealer today spending less money, with a perk BMW rate, than you can even get close to on an X5M/X6M… Weird helps. A lot💰💙

X5 M comp, fully loaded with a downpipe and exhaust, with a tune. 800+ and lighter better in every way

The uniqueness of this compared to a Cayenne would make me choose this. Also these come fully loaded, you’d probably spend more for the Cayenne to get it equipped the same way.

I've got to sit in one of these and I will say the rear seating is gotta be one of the most comfortable seats you will ever sit in. It's like they brought back the over-stuffed cloth seats from the 90's but put in leather

I noticed that too in a 740i. I'm a huge fan of ultra soft comfy seats. The ones in the 740i were cloth and had tons of comfy foam underneath. Just superb!

Load the Cayenne with the same options that the XM has and it’s way way over the $149k price that you mention. I built one and it was more expensive. I’ve also done a 3.38s 0-60mph in my Label. I’m guessing it was fairly warm when you tested it.

The BMW XM is already experiencing significant depreciation. Also due to low sales, I heard that the XM will be discontinued in 2028 and they will focus on Neue Klasse electric car platform. If you want to buy one, I suggest waiting until next year when you can purchase it for half of the current sale price. Overall great car but it's definitely not worth $190k, buy a Porsche with that money.

Buy a what? Porsche = Audi = VW. Go try a Cayenne and then an XM, you will understand a lot of things.

The rear end is actually the only thing i think looks nice. The interior is pretty nice though. I guess that's what matters.

I own the baby version of this powertrain, I went from a 21’ M550i into an X5 50e. I find myself cruising in Hybrid mode all the time which means I’m in Electric mode 90% of the time. Would I justify an extra $1,000/month to my lease payment? Prob not since I’ll be driving the XM in Hybrid as well. (I am also in love with the Air Suspension on my X5) makes the 22” wheels feel floaty. Beautiful vehicle and convenient platform.

The XM has been gaining popularity but BMW still dont know what to do with it as its still a niche car.There were reports about them not making an electric version and were phasing it out but they denied those reports. We'll see.

There are rumors about this not getting an electric successor, but this model is still on sale and will continue to be until the planned end of sale, unless production takes away too much capacity that could be used better by models making more sales. It seems to not have been as successful as BMW wanted, but currently there is no reason to stop sales.

The "Living With" videos are more practical uses of these vehicles (more around town, errand running, car seat and cargo tests, fuel economy tests, etc). Drive Reviews are more focused on the exterior/interior styling and Driving Dynamics. Hope that helps

I love the X5M, but the XM is on another level. The people don't understand it, but they will. I've tried both, X5M is nothing near an XM.

It feels like the design ethos of BMW lately has been inspired by the Chinese market. Models like XM, 7-series, IX, and new 5-series all have that same hideous shapes..

What a weird looking car on both the outside, and inside. It makes me of think of a child who tried designing a Rolls Royce, but then the kid incorporated BMW and coughed a bit of Lamborghini essence on to it half way through the design process. Nonetheless, it's a cool car, but i would certainly just sell it and get a better alternative like the Cayenne Turbo GT or a Urus Performante; or if i want luxury, just get me a GLS 600 Maybach.

Horrible value for the money. X7 is bigger, while X5M and X6M are faster. For the price u can kinda almost get the maybach GLS which is another leauge. The competition is fierce in this department and this car except being a showoff pony offers nothing special.

@Omgiamsotriggered it's not slower it has over 100 more hp than the x5m the xm label red has 750hp ,it literally keeps up with a cayenne turbo gt and a urus.

Ppl who keep saying they would rather have an X5M don’t understand that the XM is for the ppl that actually need backseat room. Stop comparing the two, there is no comparison, the XM is better in every way. It has way more room and it way more comfortable.

I'm sorry but this is just not a good looking car. It would look better in black but that black line down the side looks like the designer sneezed while he was sketching it out.
