⁠Hi there! I never said I oppose free thinking. That’s a bit of a leap. In MY free thinking opinion, it was an unnecessary, false and negative comment. Miley Cyrus didn’t wear a “swimsuit” to The Grammy’s. It really is such an ignorant and hateful comment to make. This dress is an archival Bob Mackie dress from his 2002 collection “To Broadway With Love”. It’s reminiscent of the iconic Tina Turner’s original dresses she wore to perform in, as was MC’s choreography and energy (I assume, a nod to the late, great, trailblazing performer). MC was there to perform and entertain (not run down to the local to grab some milk and bread), and the dress complimented her performance fabulously, with its fabulous fringe and sparkle. Mackie’s design’s are some of THE most in-demand pieces in the entertainment business, and rightly so as the man is a legend. A favourite of the likes of Tina Turner, Cher and Dolly Parton. I’m *genuinely* unsure how anyone can see this dress and think “swimsuit”.
