I think it's based off the voting results, for example songs like bring it on feel lifeless because es believes their feelings/views are wrong. While songs like half have a stronger feeling because es is reluctantly singing.

アマネちゃんって確か赦さないだったよね？ 考察で赦す人はしっかりと歌って赦さない人は冷たく歌うっていうのを見てからこの歌い方もアマネちゃんへの皮肉みたい(？)でなんか深いなぁと思った。アンビリカルとかは結構優しく歌ってたのに対して事変上等とかは結構な皮肉だし使い分けしてるならほんとに凄い！

It's very interesting how people said those voted guilty would get red thumbnails colouring their face, but this disproves the theory because Amane is green and yellow. Note also that Jackalope laughed at us for voting her guilty to 'realize her sins', so maybe Es doesn't really think she's guilty? Or maybe rather than Amane being solely guilty, she's also a victim. Also it sounds like they're genuinely singing, much like how they sang the other innocents. Rather than suddenly going flat or down a tone from the original. It's interesting. I'm excited to listen to all covers.

Colours are actually based on their colour palettes, not wheher their guilty or not. On the note of "Realizing their sins" - Its the fact that Amane is a firm believer of her faith. Would voting not forgive really shake her firm beliefs of the faith that she had grew up with? Thats the question. And the answer on Amane's 2nd trial "I am disappointed". All in all, for Es himself, I believe he doesnt care. All he needs to do is judge.

Unlike the other three guiltiers, magic doesnt really have any emotional bits that es can monotonize, so the tonal shift is likely with how aggressive es sounds here (i noticed it pretty much right away,,)

i have a theory about Es's singing. what if the way he sings is the way HE thinks we should have done. most times, he agrees with us. but this time, it's different. we RUINED Amane with the guilty verdict, so Es sings like she's innocent, because that's what he believes. he may not remember stuff, but he isn't blank. he has biases and opinions too, he just can't really voice them. maybe it's pity, maybe it's how he just feels, but it's a fun idea to entertain.

Just realized that at the same time that Amane's colour scheme for the thumbnail isn't red as someone voted guilty, her colours also match Muu's. And Muu very much considers herself victim in her music video, while Amane considers herself utterly innocent. Two sides of same coin?? In the way that they both think themselves in the right, and both were driven to the point they HAD to kill the person that they did. Amane (Tanaka Minami posted about this) song was the one that hinted me about milgram project so is kinda nice to have been in the early stage to watch and hear the ES cover, as someone said I do think the pace of the song is a little bit faster and I also think ES sounds kinda angry but not in a way that it makes the song a messy . Ah! I'm 4 hours late! But holy- This was way more nicer than I expected. Es sounded bored in the verses, then a bit aggressive in the choruses....I also found it kind of...faster? Maybe it's because of how people voted Amane guilty to make her realize her mistakes and her cult's brainwashing. I mean, the staff is very observant in how we vote, so Es may be a bit more energetic in here than in TIHTBILWY because of the reason we voted her guilty. Or, the other choice, that Es just wants to get this song over with, thus sounding bored and speeding some parts. Either way, Es/Yurina's voice fits this song well too! Now we gotta get half to 1 mil. Half, one of my favorites. I'd love to see Es cover it, so I'll be waiting for that!
