The part about Amane not liking Shidou I think is more about her Jeovah/Cultish ways of thinking. We can see her, good natured child that she (apparently) is, trying to heal one of of the hurt followers in her video clip and then proceeding to get punished for it. Shidou is a doctor, so it's probably natural that she feels resentment towards him, going against all the doctrines of her "family" and all.

It's interesting to hear that because of shidou's overly composed attitude or the fact that he is significantly taller and older than them (or hell maybe even both) there is a consistent air of hesitance and discomfort in the way Es conducted the interrogation. Well, until he decided to pat them that is (big mistake there good sir). As a new fan coming into the fold it's interesting to me that people voted shidou as innocent based on these _peculiar_ impressions. Though now it's likely that he will be overwhelmingly voted innocent in the second trial since now it's been stated that without his medical knowledge the rest of the prisoners are screwed.

Just googled the title of the voice drama, molech is a biblical diety who sacrificed children. So based off that, and his first MV it is easy to infer that his victims were children, as well as the child he was attempting to save, who was most likely a sibling.

The first time I read over a translation of this drama, I noted how Shidou actually acknowledged Es as a child, and pitied that Es wasn't in a position that they wanted to accept it. But listening to this again now, I wonder if the reason why is because them being treated as a child while Shidou is an adult would put Shidou in a position of power over them, while they heavily fixate on their role as warden, which would dictate that they should be the one in power over him. His composure might irritate them for the same reason, maintaining control over the situation. For someone else to have the power when they think they should, perhaps that makes them feel like they're failing as a "proper warden".

Still... I'd say I'm glad Shidou recognizes Es as a child, as it's true this kind of role shouldn't be put on one. ...But really that makes his insistence on them executing them seem all the more sketchy. Though he does seem less insistent during this trial so far...

I also like to think that Es's fixation on their role as the prison guard is also partly due to the fact that as an amnesiac whom the moment they awoken have known nothing, Jackalope assigning them the warden role pretty much gave them a sense of purpose. If even that was taken away from Es or became subsequently useless because the prisoners themselves don't treat Es as the warden then Es would have nothing to cling on. Might be wrong, but I like to think there's a reasonable explanation to Es's complex about their role.

So especially in lieu of anything else that would make it all too easy for it to consume the entire way they define themselves and the way they see the world around them.

Just watched this, and to add to the the theory of the murders being against children, I noticed the lines towards the end where he says that Es, being a child, is the perfect person to pass judgement onto him. He WANTS them to. And now that with the recent update video, Amane clearly hates Shidou. If she attacks him, I have a bad feeling that he's not going to fight her back at all... This is all so messed up, I've never heard the theory of him being a pediatrician until now but I'm fully convinced tbh. Perhaps Shidou had a younger sibling or child of his own he wanted to save, not a partner? It really makes me think. Thanks for making this and sharing your thoughts!

uhg, I want to like the men of Milgram more, but all of them are weenies. Haruka and Futa's got their own complex going on, the old men are cowards who are borderline suicidal, and Mikoto's just a boring trope. I swear, any of the women have more conviction than all of the guys put together. Not to say I don't like any of them; I adore Kazui and Futa (and Shidou has been growing on me, admittedly) but would it kill Milgram if one of them didn't show remorse? Cmon. Gimme one bastard.
