So to catch everyone up to speed through tls. - It seems to be heavily speculated that Haruka died back in April around Fuuta's birthday or after his own birthday in June (mind you, the last person to confirm Haruka being alive was Muu). Fuuta gave him one last chance for salvation, but Haruka still decided to go through with his promise. - Shidou died around most likely November. His last words to Kazui were to "Please protect the children for me." We most likely know how he died, but im not sure if Amane did it with or without Fuuta's cooperation. - Mahiru succumbed to her injuries most likely last month as a result of the death of Shidou, and most likely Yuno being intimidated from ever nursing her back to health. Despite the fact that she beat the brakes off Mappi, Kotoko was requested by Mappi herself to see her so she could wish Kotoko a happy birthday. To me, these might be the three biggest cases heading into the final trial.

If i had a transdimensional portal, i'd look for a dimension with the best outcomes for many things. For example, maybe there's a universe where Milgram got the good ending, Distrust was never remade into Danganronpa and was released as they originally planned with different routes and red blood, and Foodfight would be released in 2002 instead of 2012, and it'd be a success, with better animation, and a good video game adaptation that they were planning according to the found lost media

I'm curious about how the other prisoners feel about the deaths. In particular, Muu for Haruka, Yuno for Shidou and Mahiru (there's been some dialogue which indicates Yuno was helping Shidou with Mappi), Amane for Shidou and Mappi (since she possibly killed Shidou which caused Mappi to die too) and Kotoko for Mahiru (perhaps Kotoko feels guilty for hurting Mahiru or maybe thinks she deserves it). I'm also wondering if maybe Kotoko regrets not attacking Amane, maybe if Amane was attacked, her condition would be too bad to go after Shidou.

Sorry that I can't write this in Japanese but "Your curtain call" is a way of saying "The end of your life" in English as a metaphor as well. "Your (Curtain) Call" could mean both "Your time to die" or "You choose when this all ends" in this context like you said.

Characters can’t exist outside of their story, so when a play ends, to me, it feels like they have died. Curtain calls resemble funerals, the deaths of characters, in that sense. Even more so, it’s a celebration of the ends of those characters. We, the audience, are the ones cheering at this curtain call. We are celebrating the deaths of these characters through this curtain call… Truly, Es (the audience) is a monster I will never forgive.

I don’t usually write comments but it just sucks. Seeing that both Mahiru and Shidou are dead especially, due to a personal theory I’ve had about the pairings of characters that were not going to be able to see. I don’t want people to blame themselves because I can understand if like, you thought the characters were going to survive. It’s just sad to me one of the pairs died. Each pair had something similar in their murder that I haven’t really seen people bring up yet. Just for example all of them: Haruka and Yuno: Wanting attention from others, Haruka more love and attention for his parents most likely his mother who didn’t pay attention to him. As well as Yuno wanting attention from men around her as a means of “warmth.” So that she doesn’t feel lonely. Muu/Fuuta: Influence/Power. Fuuta being very heavy about being a popular gamer, getting people to cyber bully a girl leading to her suicide. Not meaning to hurt someone that bad but ended up doing so due to his position of influence. Alongside Muu who lost a lot of friends and influence because of Rei possibly an old friend of hers. Killing her on accident due to feeling really desperate at the moment. Shidou/Mahiru: We’re never going to see an end to this one sadly, but the theme here was probably love. Shidou harvesting organs from patients to try and save his dying wife, and Mahiru being lovingly obsessed with her boyfriend. Kazui/Amane: Tradition Values, with Kazui fighting against the norm of heterosexuality most likely being gay. Feeling trapped in a heteronormative society in where he feels he can’t be himself. Alongside Amane fighting the teachings the cult had taught her all her life. Murdering in an attempt to escape but succumbing to their teachings. Finally Mikoto/Kotoko: Protection, with Mikoto trying to protect himself from others he think might harm him. Most likely out of what he thinks is self defense. Alongside Kotoko trying to protect others and her thinking becoming so black and white it harms others. It’s just really sad to see that some of the characters are dead and that they might never get their third trial songs. Let’s just hope for the best moving into trial 3 ❤

I would say the connection between Mikoto and Kotoko is less "Protection" and more "Purpose"; Kotoko's insistence that her vigilanteism is a necessary evil is, imo, just an excuse; in actuality, she has an emptiness inside her that only acts of brutality can fulfill, but she also isn't a complete monster and recognises the wanton violence she desires as unethical, so she has to be able to justify her actions as being in the public good. Meanwhile, Mikoto isn't lacking for direction in his life, with a fairly secure career that could give him a lot of opportunities, but that career is pretty much killing him, so he develops a split personality that relieves the stress his job generates through murder.

Going through the MV slowly, it's pretty wild recognizing all of the empty spots in the illustrations...I missed a lot of them on the first watch and didn't recognize all the gaps, but going through it slowly it's like "oh no, this gap shouldn't be here..."💦💦 ( for example: 1:55 ) like they really did erase those 3 fully from the MV, it's like they never even existed! My favorite eerie effect of this combined with the lack of singing is 2:29 - 2:38 , they're all duets but because of the missing 3, Yuno sings alone at the beginning, and at 2:34 there's nothing. Leave it to MILGRAM to erase my 3 favorite characters from the inmates covering Es' song (it's really cool they did this??? i didn't even think about how they could do this!) and still have me be impressed! (also amazing censoring of the lyrics in the description too!!) Now I pray that Haruka, Shidou, and Mahiru were too busy having a pizza party with Es to sing. 😊🙏

I actually fear A LOT more for Es’ life AND mental state after seeing this video. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jackalope/Milgram decide to punish Es and treat them as another murderer now that it’s likely that we’ve got 3 deaths that, for one way or another, were the result of Es’ (our) decision, as such, it’s very likely that Es will also face the consequences of those choices and potentially get killed as well. After all, Es IS a Milgram prisoner, we just don’t get to judge them (yet).

some actual thoughts: this video certainly does imply that haruka, shidou, and mahiru are dead, but keep in mind nothing is confirmed and even if they are dead we don’t know the details. There is a chance this is a red herring, although unlikely, and we can only speculate until the next report from jackalope. Now, assuming they are dead: - this means that milgram is willing to kill off characters before trial 3. Given the context from the novel (the milgram novel operates on a one trial system, so it isnt an exact comparison, but the novel shows that guilty prisoners on that one-trial system get executed) it is very likely that if there was anyone who was voted guilty both times in trial 1 and 2, they would have disappeared from this song and been executed. Because there were no characters voted guilty twice in a row, that didn’t happen, but it was situations between the prisoners themselves that caused the deaths. - this means, for everyone saying that amane shouldve been voted guilty, its very possible that if she had been voted guilty in trial 2 she would’ve died; the same can be said for if any of the characters who were voted guilty trial 1 were given the same verdict. the possibility that they wouldve been executed before trial 3 is very likely if the milgram team is really willing to kill off characters between trials. - since fuuta has somewhat sided with amane, it is possible that amane could have convinced fuuta to attack shidou; which would make some sense as fuuta is older and likely more physically able to attack and kill shidou. As alot of people said….if shidou couldnt defend against a 12 year old, lmao. - since characters can kill each other, i dont think theres any route, even an all forgiven route which is what i was voting for, that wouldve resulted in every character surviving. i think deaths would have been inevitable, and some characters would only survive at the cost of another (shidou and amane).

I think Amane disappearing would've been for the better. Looking at the second trial closely, the most likely outcome is that she killed Shidou, or was at least a factor in his death, and the lack of treatment that followed likely killed Mahiru. 1 death would've been better than 2.

@@ryansfnaf mate, most of your points about Amane can be countered by her second trial voice drama. she concocted and attempted a plan to kill Es, she showed how level-headed she still was, despite being voted guilty, and she openly said that if she was voted innocent, she'd kill Shidou just for being a doctor. she's 100% capable of killing Shidou, and that's far more likely than him killing himself when Mahiru was still in critical condition. after all, he made it clear in both his second trial video and second trial voice drama that he wants to live long enough to save everyone here.

The Milgram team has balls of steel if they go through with this and its not some kind of fake out. Might be copium but it fact that this is described as a 'route' unlike previous vids makes me think that we could get a couple different versions of the story. Maybe glimpses into other versions, what would have happened if the votes were different or other possible events. The title being "your (curtain) call" is so specific. As in YOUR, the viewer/voters, makes me think that this is the route purely derived from our votes but there is also a canon route, or at least a separate route entirely. I honestly don't want that. I want the choices to stand. This is all interesting from an experiment standpoint. We were told some things pretty outright. Haruka said he would end himself if Mu was voted guilty and the whole Amane vs Shidou thing was a given with the animosity between the two. It was also made pretty clear that Mahiru was tied to Shidou and as a result him being incapacitated, or in this case dead, would be tragic for her. And all of this led to a lot of discourse in terms of how to vote. People argued relentlessly and attempted to metagame the votes while others argued that metagaming ruined the intended purpose of Milgram, and that it was better to vote what you believed as it wasn't fair to play with the fate of one character for the sake of another. But all this back and forth is part of the experiment. Are you willing to vote based on if you honestly think the person should be forgiven or unforgiven....or will you vote based on what perceived outcome you want more? What will win out? Either way its great to be a Kazui and Yuno fan.

To be fair I believe that there was never a correct route and death was Inevitable. The fact we could vote purely based on the fact if we liked them says enough about the nature of milgram, also the milgram novels in general say alot as well (you should definitely check them out if you haven’t already). As literally stated by Ess themselves, “can you really say innocent?” The forgiveness in milgram seems to have equated to condoning harmful actions, but voting guilty only perpetuates suffering and does not change them in any meaningful way. We aren’t solving the prisoners dilemma or bringing anyone to justice, but literally confronting OUR own values, morals and biases (for trial one at least for the most part). Our decisions would have a large impact on the prisoners no matter what we vote, so there was never a right answer because MILGRAM is a rigged and flawed system. Anyways its still really devastating it had to turn out like this but minigrams will keep Haruka, Shidou and Mappi alive!!!

Well that went about how I was expecting. Mahiru was a little bit of a surprise, I would have thought her condition had stabilised and therefore not need a doctor to keep her alive. Maybe she tried to intervene? Anyway, what interests me most is the "Route: Your Curtain Call". That makes me think of visual novels where different endings will have names. My theory is this is Es's real trial song. It would have been different based on what happened in the first 2 trials. Es is going to be judged based on this. I sort of doubt we would have called ourselves innocent.

If the theory regarding how the three is dead based off this video, I would like to propose a shocking but highly likely theory regarding Shidou and Mahiru’s death. Because violence isn’t allowed after Trial 1’s incident, Amane resorts to swapping or messing with the medicines needed for Mahiru, aka preventing Shidou’s healing and “interruption of destined fate” - Amane’s entire point of being pissed at Shidou. This theory makes the most sense if the Trial 1’s rule were applied strictly, because if she couldn’t physically stop Shidou from trying to save Mahiru by making her recover, she just straights up messes with the recovery process itself. It is likely Shiodu offed himself as a result of failing to save Mahiru - his first hopeful chance at redemption. Maybe Amane messes with the drugs needed to save her and causes Shidou to spiral into despair.

The prisoners are fully able to attack each other at any time (They just aren’t likely to when Es is awake because ya know. Prison guard) Prisoners are unable to attack Es at any time (and John or Orekoto isn’t technically a prisoner so he could attack Es)

Heres some things ive noticed: Obviously there are characters that are missing from the mv both vocally and visually. Those 3 are Haruka Shidou Mahiru. Another detail is that for the characters that have different voting results for the first 2 votings, they have the indicators of their results showing 2 different symbols that can be recognized from the milgram portal, showing if they are guilty or innocent. But for those characters who have been found innocent in both votes dont have it. That goes for Yuno and Kazui (shidou wouldve been in this list as well but he is missing) which is interesting i think please tell me if theres anything else im curious to know!!! HELLOOOO more updates while i was checking my translated milgram timeline screenshots. So at some point yuno and kazui have a conversation where kazui asks about yuno helping shidou stating "you didnt seem very interested in other people" yuno then replies that shes not really interested "but when someone is about to die in front of me, i'll at least help out" so it might be shiouver i fear.. In yuno's birthday we get a conversation between shidou and yuno where yuno is helping him with mahiru's treatment. Shidou also recommends her to consider becoming a doctor in the future, also stating that if something happens to shidou (subtle foreshadowing) its good that yuno will still be around.

To be fair, the VAs for Haruka, Shidou and Mahiru are credited in the description. My guess is that we'll get an actual full cast version when the album where this is included releases. And I bet that they're still getting songs, at least to give us more bombshell reveals about their stories

I mean, the creators said themselves that MILGRAM was a passion project first and foremost and that they'd planned to make and finish it even if it didn't make any money. Well, I guess most people don't know that since there are no official translations of the interviews but still XD. Personally, I always though it was really cynical to say they'd write the story around merch sales like that even before I read the interviews. Like, I get it the assumption but MILGRAM was always a really ambitious and experimental project. If they wanted to play it safe financially surely they'd just make something else lol
