I have the WD’s quartz bb54 homage & although it’s a well executed watch I find it a bit boring,I get the similar feeling with the Seestern 62mas .You live & learn.Dare I say I’m all watches out at the moment but I know that’ll change @ some point.Thanks for the review

I own this watch as well as the San Martin SN004 v2 BB58 and Watchdives WD7922 BB54. Selling point to me was 1) I like the rivet bracelet 2) The price point was very reasonable at $108 USD and 3) The only monochrome option available in this size. I’m very happy with the watch for the price paid.

I had this watch too, and I can confirm that the crown and the winding on my watch are the same as yours. It's very hard to wind and the stem won't pop when unscrewed. The markings on the bezel insert also changed the color to pale yellow after wearing it for only a few days. This is why I sold it.

I actually like thier products with the VH31. I work in MRI dept, only mechanical watch that will survive this is an Omega coaxial movement.

To consider this watch a worthy contender, the crown must be working correctly and it should be twice as thick for reasonable grip and comfort. There doesn't appear to be any micro adjustments with that clasp. If it does not have them, that's a must fix.

Seems like a great watch, shame about the QC. And it valiantly triumphed in the Cupboard of Doom. Go on then Militado! Thanks for the great review as always.

Great looking watch with good specs, one thing that I have an issue with is that the bracelet is too thick at the clasp. If it would only taper down from 20mm to 16mm like on a rolex watch bracelet. I have the same issue with 62mas seestern bracelet.

I have the same version colour of ML06. It is almost the perfect watch with the perfect size. Great AR sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, perfect lume, great proportion indexes. The only thing i don't like is the aluminium ring inside of the bezel.

Hi John good review. Shame about the QC issue as it looked a good Tudor monochrome homage. Would have preferred it if it was at least 40mm diameter wise as well.

I don't know what it is, but I like this watch, minus the bracelet, not a fan of the rivets on any brand watch. The dial with the Militado looks very good to me and really like the crystal and bezel insert. I've seen a lot of these and never really paid attention till now. However, the crown problem stops me in my tracks. A tight bezel is no problem, but a faulty crown just gets on my nerves. Enjoyed the review though!!

Very nice watch for the price and as Sickboy says it has "personality" which many more expensive watches do not have.Hopefully they will take the feed back you're a lot more cost effective than a focus group. Might very well put my hand on my pocket for a V.2 ML06 Thanks for defining the test conditions for the COD so often in other lume tests the watch gets blasted with so much UV light before hand I'm surprised the watch doesn't react like Alderaan meeting the Deathstar. The results provided on such tests are misleading at best. 10 minutes natural lighting is a very good bench mark for realistic use...good one!

Now this is quite nice. On that nylon strap it looks great. I'm never going to be a fan of snowflake hands, nor such a close 1:1 homage (although... I do have 1 in my collection, the good old Steeldive Willard) but this is done really nicely. Militado's font doesn't look stupidly generic (I'm looking at you Addiesdive and your horrible italic font..) and really suits the dial. In an AliX sale, I could be swayed by this and a nice strap as a nice classy looking beater.

Another good review telling us how it is 👍. I wouldn't buy this, because I don't like Snowflake hands and it's a little small, but that crown issue sounds serious. Let's hope they fix it and send you another for the comparison.

It seems you got a little better lume on your ML06 than I got on mine. Mine seems patchier, with the minute a second hands a bit weak compared to the indices and hour hand; my crown was never gritty, but it was stiff and has only managed to produce a faint 'crown pop' after about a month of use and I still don't notice any real ghost position on it...However the stem and crown assembly are the heaviest and most robust I've ever had on a watch. In contrast with the fiddly cap of the crown the stem and crown tube are downright stout. My ML06 is extremely accurate, running around +/- 2 seconds; the watch is good looking and I am happy with it for the price.

Funny, how black monochromatic BB homage watches pop up all of a sudden. The watch itsel if OK but I would prefer it without the metal ring that seperates the bezel from the crystal. The branding makes sense for military inspired watches. For dive watches it's not offensive but not fully appropriate either. Seeing a no-date NH38 would be nice.

Hey John. Have you come across any good Rolex explorer alternatives that would be OK for small wrists?
@johnswatchjoint3 ай бұрын
Yes. If you're a subscriber you'll know that I don't have a large wrist so a lot of reviews here cater to that. Baltany have a couple of styles worth looking at and I also reviewed the Octopus Kraken Earlier this year which was my favourite watch of the year. Flip through the play lists and you'll find them. :)

Nice review, to the point. I do think Militado has a ways to go with this watch. Not just finish and QC issues but price as well. Seems to me Alix prices are steadily creeping up so it's going to take more to pull the trigger on this one. Still love their field watches, though.

Tudor style rivets ruined it ....
@RandallSlick3 ай бұрын
It's not bad, but again, like so many emerging far-east brands, and like their quartz crisis-era Swiss predecessors, the brand name and font is questionable to say the least. Maybe they could take a long, hard look at the ones that are popular and sell and the reasons why. Militado sound like Bucharest's premiere gay nightclub and the Hamilton knockoff logo is fooling nobody. Why do the Chinese do it when the products show glimmers of decent engineering?
