The F-15 was a desperate attempt to build something comparable to a super fighter. Turns out the Mig-25 was a one trick pony interceptor instead.

One note about the Foxbat. While it was theoretically capable of intercepting the SR-71, the purpose of it's design was to intercept the B-70. By the time it was conceived, the B-70 program had already been canceled.

If it ever comes down to space combat, then the KCS mod might be worth looking at -It's a mod which is designed to run combat without using specifically designed weapons systems. It's really intended for stock KSP but I think it should function with RSS/RO as well.

Oh man. The idea of being stuck in LEO is absolutely terrifying. You're just a few hundred kilometres away from home, the kind of distance you could travel by car, but with no way down, it's so so far. And everything around you is deadly. The atmosphere that you normally live in, with it traveling at 8 km/s relative speed will burn you on entry. The sky you look at on a regular basis is now an empty void you'll suffocate in in a few hours at most. The Sun that allows you to live (with crops and all that) is now a source of deadly radiation. And also with (at the time, in 1966) 3.5 billion people just below you, you're the most lonely a human can be.

Actually... the MiG-25 wasn't designed to intercept the SR-71, but the B-58 and upcoming B-70 (that ended up cancelled). In that era SAMs weren't quite up to the task, everyone was starting to field Mach 2 planes and looking toward Mach 3, including for bombers. With SAMs getting suddenly more viable, most high-speed, high-altitude programs collapsed.

Is there any way i could trouble you for a gamedata folder download? For some reason, Ckan will NOT download the github repository on my pc, and ive tried EVERYTHING. Ive finally decided to factory reset my pc to see if that helps, but if not is there any way you could maybe do a google drive download or dropbox download of just your gamedata folder, as all the mods required for RO and RSS arent available to me due to github not allowing my pc to connect for downloads for some reason, it just gives me the cannot connect page ANYTIME i try to download anything from github 🤦‍♂️ its like im not even connected to the internet according to github, but i actually am lmao

I would say not installing BDArmory was probably the right choice. Been working on an expansion for BDArmory and, though very impressive. It has its issues. Mostly caused by PRE, which BDArmory technically does not need to function.

I have an idea for spy mechanics. These ideas do not include how spies are obtained. Should you be interested, I give you the right to use these ideas. Spies can acquire information that can only be obtained up close. Before each flight, a 10-sided die should be rolled. If the die rolls 6-9, 1 science point should be awarded to the nation the spy spies. If the die rolls a 10, 3 science points should be rewarded. This simulates stolen craft plans or other technical documents. If the die rolls 4 or 5, no science should be awarded. If the die rolls 2 or 3, the spy should be sighted for suspicious activity. A certain amount of suspicious activity will ground the spy. If the die rolls 1, they are caught during the mission.

What have you done to your profile picture?! As in it looks good, but is worse than the original. Why go for a cartoonish vibe and then play with so much realism? Doesn't that kinda clash?
