Sadly it seems the RP-1 does not account for POGO, which is an oscillation which travels up and down the side of the rocket because of the shaking from the engines. Just like waves at sea, sometimes there is a convergence of vibration (waves) which threatens the structural stability of rockets. If this aspect of engineering were taken into account, it would require further engineering and testing. I would surmise that perhaps this aspect is simulated in the testing phase of rockets in RP-1.

Not impossible, imagine N9 loosing one of test Katurn V, desperately asking Carnasa for funds to rush build another in exchange for 1 seat in lunar mission, that mission launching, and successfully landing on Moon, just to realize, they cannot go back due to malfunction/deltaV. then Carnasa could talk to soviets to "borrow" their unmanned lander to escape for exchange for science.

did Russian space program use any eva packs? just messing with this area of the timeline myself and had as an issue/question. in rp1 for some reason eva pack won't get nitrogen supply from LK lander (even if you add as resource). i know in previous episode you used the handrails (i can't seem to pull that off). but with the LK lander system, was there a plan to "dock" back with the orbiting module or just space walk? make sure you test before your attempt (I didn't notice till after landing, so the space "jump" my kerbal had to pull off was a bit risky ;PPP). amazing as always, thanks for the videos!

Idea turn the LK you launch into a base if it is not used attach a power module on top and your good to go🌑
