I'm an EMT and when we pick up patients from Navy SAR they bring them in using blackhawk's. They do what's called a hot load where they don't shut down and we approach the aircraft with the rotors turning. Those blackhawks are amazing and quite intimidating to be up close. Those fans got an amazing show seeing that demonstration.

Can you believe there are people out there that will piss and moan about "How much did that cost the taxpayers?" when they do stuff like that??? The thing most people don't realize is that the training is going to happen regardless of where it might be. Might be out in a training field or might be in the middle of a stadium. It is also a recruitment tool.

I completely agree, and this was great. If you want an even bigger feeling of pride in this country (and more goosebumps) I would suggest the open house at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, NC. It’s held in the fall and I suspect that is where these men flew in from. They have demonstrations of the various types of assaults and other operations the airborne is trained to do. It is absolutely amazing. With these displays, the rest of the air show, and the various hardware on display it makes for a truly memorable day.

Amen. Ignore that trolls comment. USA is a plus to the world, regardless of any faults its detractors might say. USA is to today's world like Rome was to the ancient world. For all the haters out there, try and imagine instead of the USSR and communism or Hitler's Germany had instead emerged as the world super power after 1945, you would NOT have internet nor cellphones as they both threaten the power of a totalitarian state and empower too much individual freedoms. For all the criticisms about money, greed, and any other negatives of the USA democracy, it is VASTLY superior to the horrors of the alternatives that could have been. Be grateful for the USA. It is afterall, the rights they give you to have your anti usa opinion. I dare you to speak out against an arab country if you were living there as it's citizen. You'd be woken up in the middle of the night by their secret police / social hygiene police/ Gestapo, etc... and disappear.
