They may have covered some of the material in World History, but you're an amazing teacher and you go much more in depth on these events and concepts. Thanks for being awesome. Good overview. And there was still some notion of military pride reflected in their uniform. for example, the buttons on the uniform were not practical at all but still looked formal.

Your could have mentioned barbed wire and compare hot air balloons to the airplanes.

Dirigibles or ridged airship were developed during the 1880's and 90 with the first successful Zeppelin in operation in 1900, the last year of the 19th Century. Ridged Airships were used greatly in WWI and would certainly be considered part of the Second Industrial Revolution.
