This will probably come in handy. Too bad someone took off the hitch from my m1009. That’s on the back burner. At the moment I need to restore the tailgate, hanging on one cable, shattered glass, and all messed up internals that need replacing. I can’t find anything without steps being skipped. Debating on just bringing it to a shop before colder times come up in the north east. Thanks for posting.

To add, I already have the glass and a new rail for the bottom. I do need the manual actuator and something else I am forgetting.

@@Joemondaking The best description I have ever heard of the M1009 glass mechanism is this. “Designed by an idiot who then consulted with a committee of morons.” I feel your pain. This comes up on Steel Soldiers very often. Have you searched there? Once you get all the little pieces behind the lock in the handle, the system almost makes sense the way it works. Almost and with parts that break if you look at them wrong.

@@timsteachablemoments1786 that actually makes me feel better, I heard they’re a PITA. I’ve searched there, can’t find anything that will help, like a diagram. Sometimes the photos don’t appear, even then, they probably won’t do justice and the guys tend to use potatoes as cameras😂still very informative and I frequent that site often.
