Small error, The Super Hornet is only officially M1.6 capable with the legacy Hornet being M1.8 capable due to the excessive weight of the extremely advanced EW system on board the super hornet.

50K feet is only the advertised altitude. The US only lists 50K more most of its aircraft. It is much higher than that.

The F/A-18 Hornet completed its first flight in 1978 and entered operational service with the Marine Corps in 1983 and the U.S. Navy in 1984. Essentially it’s past its prime.

The F/A 18 Charley legacy, can super cruise at mach 1.04 at 30,000ft. Not a lot of people know this. The super hornet can reach 55,000ft. All speeds and height really comes down to load out, in any jet.

Sorry, 7,750 pounds compared to the B-17 maximum short distance load of 17,600 pounds. But for long distance bombing runs the B17 was limited to 8,000 pounds which was 16 of the 500 pound bombs.

Are you crazy? You obviously have zero idea what you are talking about and are just a hater, it’s very common. You are probably a F 14 ball rider and after 30 years still can’t get over it. Did you fly F 18’s? Work on them? Didn’t think so. Tell me, how would you know what’s good and what isn’t? There is only 2 to 3 jets that can even match the AOA of a hornet and it has amazing avionics with a helmet mounted sight and is still one of the best dogfighting platforms available. The Block 111 super hornet is even better at all that and is a faster jet. You anything about that?
