I firmly believe you have to name it to claim it, and you have articulated your goals so clearly and sincerely, I'm sure the universe will support you. At 74 and a thrift shopper for 40+ years, 90% of my wardrobe is thrifted and I love getting dressed in the morning. I'm here for the youthful energy you bring to your videos. Terms like frumpy and age appropriate are a huge turnoff, as is the burden of endless clothing hauls. Your content is authentic and encourages creativity in how to style what we already have while staying attuned to any trend that may invigorate/update a look. I shall be following your channel with great interest.

Good luck on your 2025 personal and professional goals! I'm looking forward to see your growth here on KZbin and watch your different video formats. Recreating Pinterest outfits is a very good idea! Creating capsule wardrobes for your audience (is that one of the things you talked about?) should be a lot of work depending on how much parameters you take into account, but very interesting and fun.

I love your energy and wish you a successful year. My style goals for 2025: 1. Focus on gap items and use a wishlist prior to any purchase. 2. Low buy year, bc I have Almost a complete curated wardrobe. Allow replacements for old, unrepairable items. 3. Follow trends, but focus on trendy styling. 4. Bc I know what looks best on me - rather, focus on the word flattering (for my body and features.) Thank you for your great content Mili.

That's so exciting!! I follow several style-related channels but I should say yours has become my favorite since I discovered it just about a month ago, because of the unique content you create and the positivity and inspiration you radiate. ✨ I'm sure your audience will grow exponentially in 2025! Can't wait to see all the upcoming videos you've mentioned and join whichever community you create🌞 I'll definitely put more effort into digitizing my wardrobe with Indyx, just in case... 😇 I am actually amazed how often you publish full-length videos on different topics with looaads of outfit examples + thoughtful explanations + creative edits at the same time. I wasn't sure it's even physically possible to film, edit and upload, especially during the holiday season and while travelling. And that's just the outer part we see, I'm sure there's inner kitchen (idea, research, set up, collaboration, etc) that takes even more time. Appreciate all the effort you put into this community already🌷

I’m happy to hear you will have positive videos! A lot of videos that focus on saying don’t wear this,don’t be frumpy or old etc seem negative! If I learn to dress better it will accomplish style goals without all the negativity. Thanks 💕

Thank you Jeanne, I appreciate that! It is very much my intention to avoid this kind of content - I can focus on mistakes & fixing them , but always from my own perspective - I never want to shame anyone as we all have different styles and preferences!

Another great video! Thank you 😊 I find it difficult to trust myself when I’m ‘not excited’ about a piece anymore. I get to that point at the end of every season when I’m sick of my clothes, like the end of winter, I can’t wait to wear spring stuff. So I never make the decision to declutter out of boredom at the end of the season, but rather I see if I feel excited to be reunited with the piece the next time I’m pulled out my winter stuff from storage.

I appreciate your perspective on your content and how it compares to others... you are doing great and I love how practical and descriptive you are... it's super helpful!! I plan to stick around for more!

I’m really glad I got the Indyx app. It’s very helpful. For a video idea, how about a friend picking new outfits for you from your wardrobe and you picking out outfits for that friend? Also, doing a swap/ trade of items to help keep a wardrobe fresh without spending lots of money?

Even my stylish occasion wear shoes are comfortable. Life is too short to have uncomfortable shoes.
@MiliVelikova2 күн бұрын
I completely agree, and the ones I showed are about 7/10 comfort - I can move and dance, but can't realllly walk for hours. I do have 2 pairs of heels that are super comfortable though, and they're my go-to sandals for when it's appropriate to wear!

I agree, but I also think some shoes need to be broken in so wearing them a few times to see is always a good idea. But they only get a limited amount of chances!

I appreciate your unique content and take on style and look forward to seeing your growth this year. I am going through a style shift too and have narrowed down both the items in my wardrobe and what I think my body type and essences are. I want to continue the curation of what I have while trying out styles I think will better suit how I want to dress. For experimenting I have decided to go thrifting with $20 every time I get paid, so twice a month. That should let me get about one item per trip, if I find something worthy, and get me in the shop more often so I have a better chance of eventually finding things I want to try. I want more natural fibers and solid colors to replace the graphic tees I have lived in for the past 10+ years. It's time for me to move on

I want to wear my less worn items, especially skirts. Yesterday, I wore an a-line cotton knee-length skirt and tank top around home. It was around 37°C here in Western Australia, but with my air conditioning on low and my outfit, I was 100% comfortable. I have moved away from skirts in the past 2 years (I have a lot) but intend to change this in 2025. Loved this video, Mili. Your plans sound great and are very achievable. You go, girl ❤

Hey, not that this is an important information but I have the same sweater. Looks good on you. Happy New Year!

omg this is genuinely my favourite sweater! It's so comfortable, and I love that it's black but it's interesting! Happy new year :)

I recently calculated the items I have in different categories and realized I have enough combinations for 10+ years (!!) if I had a goal of wearing everything with everything (top+bottom+jacket, not even considering shoes and accessories) without repeating outfits. That's crazy. I'd realistically set a goal of wearing each item at least once during the corresponding season, and in the end part ways with those I haven't worn. The problem is I forget to track and also I don't leave house that much for the past couple (5) of years so rarely have to dress at all - and it seems a bit over-the-top to thus get rid of clothes altogether. But your videos inspire me to dress up more and, most importantly, do some research of my own wardrobe, so I hope this sets a nice tone for 2025! :)

Looking at your picture your curves and height are the first things I notice which is a soft dramatic kibbe ID. You have balance and symmetry in your face and body so I'm sure you have some classic essence.
@majaolexova73782 күн бұрын
In 2024 I spent quite a lot of my time to figure out my color type, kibbe ID and essence combination. Some results were pleasant surprises, some needed my mental readjustments and time to get used to. I also did DIY in Alchemy of color & style system which I had to revisit after some time which was same as body matrix approach for me. Thanks to your videos I learnt about 3 words method and they also helped me to find 2 out of 3 of my style roots *one I al still struggling with). This year I would like to learn how to combine results of all of these as some do diverge a bit and some converge.

This is a different topic an I’m sure you’ve probably thought about it anyways but since you mentioned weight gain, I thought I’d share this story. My mum has had with weight fluctuations for a long time and overtime put on weight that’s she couldn’t lose despite healthy eating, active job etc. When she had her bloods done, it showed that she had an overactive pituitary glad, which was the underlying reason and is now able to get treatment. Similar story with my husband’s grandmother. Weight gain in the abdominal area and turned out she had a very big ovarian cyst. 🤷🏻♀️ I work in the NHS and have seen many similar stories. So sometimes it’s worth having a couple of simple tests to exclude medical causes because you can potentially avoid a lot of struggle.

I think I am a bit older than you. A year ago I gave up uncomfortable shoes and clothes completely. I want to be stylish but also comfortable, or I won't be stylish at all because I don't manage to convince myself to reach for the uncomfortable items anyway. I moved to only elastic waistbands, sports bra and barefoot shoes. Thankfully fashion is evolving a lot, and there are very stylish options around. I hope this trend continues ❤😅

Thank you for watching and commenting! I am not sure how clearly I made my first point - I only want to keep comfortable shoes for my everyday life, but I sometimes struggle with letting 'somewhat comfy' shoes go... because they look pretty or I feel like I'll somehow wear them. So my aim this year is to make myself genuinely be ok with letting them go, by wearing them 1-2 times, realising I don't want to keep them, and letting them go :) I so agree on the elasticated waistbands - most of my pants have it and it's a godsent!

@MiliVelikova I hit send on my comment before I finished writing, sorry xD I agree with you, and wanted to say that I did your same thing with my "somewhat comfy" shoes, and it worked for me (although I let most of them go XD)

@Astgsfgt I'm excited, I think I already know which pairs are going..I just need the proper "evidence" in my head so I don't feel regret haha

It's essential to wear shoes that are 10/10 in comfort all the time, especially since bunions are more common among women. We should avoid promoting footwear with narrow toe boxes, even for special occasions
@MiliVelikova2 күн бұрын
I agree with you, and not sure how clearly I made my point - I only want to keep 10/10 shoes for my everyday life, but I sometimes struggle with letting 5/10 shoes go... because they look pretty or I feel like I'll somehow wear them. So my aim this year is to make myself genuinely be ok with letting them go, by wearing them 1-2 times, realising I don't want to keep them, and letting them go :) For my special occasions like weddings, if I want to move and dance, I have 2 pairs of open-toe shoes which are super comfy yet pretty. I have two pairs of narrow(er) shoes, they're still comfortable but they're not something I have many of, or even recommend to people - they're my photo / conference speaker shoes, as they do make me feel great. But it's not something I wear often (like 1-2 times a year, so I am ok with that for now)
