Just playing with some milk paint today. I was making the cracked gesso way to thin, I guess. Mine wasn't cracking at all. I've watched several of her video's (Amy's) and I like the thicker. I'll also have to try the mind your bee's wax, I have the antiquing one and sometimes it makes it darker than I want. Glad to see I can just paint over a wood piece without removing the finish. I thought we had to do that first. Looking forward to more videos.

I would love to try Amy Howard products but just can't afford to purchase them at the moment. Milk paint gives a gorgeous finish, however, I did hear you say it's a finish that can't be achieved with Chalk Paint. That's definitely not the case, I do Old World finishes primarily on my pieces and you can absolutely obtain texture, cracks and that authentic aged look. It's simply a matter of knowing how. You don't even have to (though sometimes it's fun and creates an amazing result) to purchase texture mediums or crackle mediums to be able to get that effect. It can all be done with the paint alone, depending on your brand and application. Annie Sloan, DIY, APC, Daydream, and Nordic Chic all work well for this. That said, I'd still love to play around with AH products if I ever get the chance. Great tutorial, and thank you for sharing.

Thanks’ it’s actually my art fair booth and I was staging it at the time but it does help keep all the tree debris out of my paint. Ha!

Great information and a beautiful result! I hadn't thought to use tea to age furniture before so thank you for the tip. I'll be checking out the rest of your videos.

I just bought sample bundles of milk paint, metallics and mica powders. I'm not sure many will want to buy furniture that looks like it needs a paint job. I'm going to try it on something small first and see how it goes. Is there a market for this type of furniture? I basically bought the products to do venetian plaster stencil mural art of my wall.

Thank you for the feedback. I’m always striving to improve. May I ask what you mean by mini breaks?

@@revive-up-cycledheartup-cy381i can try :). when you go from one sentence to another and you do a mini skip in between, have a look at this vlog you did and you might see what i mean, is kind of hard to explain, but feels like you are trying to shorten yr upload, dont, it is distracting, and what you have to show us is worth watching :)
