The Chaos players biggest mistake was to rout off all of Belgars army. Taking out all his bodyguards only meant there was nothing to get in his way. "You stand alone Belegar." "Good! Now I don't have to watch where I'm swinging!"

Hammerers....i'd be happy to see them just get a big buff in armour, maybe 20 points. im ok'ish with them having low defence. Always felt ironbreakers were to hold the line, hammerers are to punch the line - both should be heavily armored tho

ya, Dwarfs are one of the few factions that can get into a direct slugging match with Chaos based on strength and win, add that their gear is pretty much the best out there they really should be stronger. the reason in our history shields were phasing out for knights in the late medieval era/renaissance was because the plate armour was so damn good they didn't need a shield and the benefits of a 2 handed weapon outweighed the minor ones of still using a shield. Hammerers should only be slightly more vulnerable than ironbreakers, though really Ironbreakers should only hit a little less hard than Hammerers.

to be fair, the end of this felt like the lore piece to a Regiment of Renown unit of Axe warriors. a small group of soldiers returning to their lord at his time of greatest need to finish off a changer of ways and win the day

@@BENJAMOSAURUS ah yes, back when the rune lord was hot stuff. Nowadays it’s just a dragged out brawl with Grombrindal or Belegar. Can’t do Thorgrim anymore either, and Ungrim is too squishy. I really hope they beef up the dawi roster for WH3, because once they add dawi zarr they will get the literal train run on them. The heresy train has no breaks.

Army losses is overall a good mechanic, they just need to make it so that if the 2 sides are neck and neck it won't kick in it becomes a large lead, with legendary lords being completely immune to it, let them run away when there leadership falls, but let them keep there balls

Sarthoriel has a disadvantage against Belegar - he has magic attacks and Belegar has 25% magic resistance (as does the Everchicken but only Grombrindal and Thorgrim have magic attacks base on the Dwarf roster, IIRC, maybe the Runelord does too?)

i love unbreakable on slayers and other units in this game that fit it but it would be dumb as well if they put it on to many units or lords, it would be nice if they gave certain lords and units not unbreakable but something like that makes them not suffer army loss, - flank secure for no allies nearby thing etc.... but would still suffer leadership loss from charges, abilities and bigger enemy's or outnumbered. this would be cool because it would make certain lords and units stay longer in a fight without being unbreakable as well but still could be punished early or late game by certain units or just by being outnumbered.

I really think that final overcast by Chaos may have lost it for them. Saving the magic and using the chariots to kill the inf, then just normal casting on Belagar might have got them through.

hammerers mostly just need to be less defensive, as is they put a lot of value into there defense and they get nothing for it because the targets they want to fight will almost always be armor peircing infantry, either armored or unarmored, i really wanna see armor that makes AP work like regular damage does to armor, while also not blocking any of the non AP weapon strength, it would allow dwarfs in particular to have high armor units without a lot of it being invalidated because people only bring AP to kill dwarfs, which would also open up a lot of rosters, which would make people who don't like playing against dwarfs enjoy it more because there's more ways to go about it

How the hell did an anvil of doom become a god damn mount carried by dwarfs into battle, but we STILL don’t have shield bearers mount for Lords? One was closer to a warmachine on tabletop and the other was a literal mount!

To be fair, the anvil could not move once deployed on the table so that wouldn't be good in game, the other thing about Dawi "mount" options was the Oathstone was the same , you actually planted yourself in the spot for the rest of the game, the Shield Bearers where not much better, Dawi really was a defensive force and the "mount" options really reflected that.
