When I was a kid i though that pictures or vidoes of the night sky like this were fake. I honestly didn't think there was anywhere on earth where you could see the stars like that. Now I hope to one day be able to see the stars like this.

I saw the milkey way galaxy as a child in a dark Kansas field during may 2010 ish with no light pollution at all, it was incredible. the entire sky had so many stars they just looked like “space clouds” but it’s more fascinating to find out those “stars” are mostly entire galaxies. Billions of planets and possibilities. Life truly is captivating.
@itzfraggle9620
@itzfraggle9620 9 ай бұрын
Unfortunately that is incorrect. Every star you can see in the night sky is still located in the milky way. Any star, nebula, or galaxy outside of the milky way is too far and too dim to see without very expensive telescopes and infrared filters. But in my opinion, this is even more impressive. Meaning the milky way is so incredibly vast, and yet it is only 1 of 2 trillion galaxies in the universe. Truly amazing and comprehendible how large the universe really is.

Be sure to do it within a week of a new moon. See how many meteors you can spot and how small you feel with the vastness of the Milky way staring at you.

Well... being as the God of the Bible, The Only God, made all things, and will one day destroy this universe, and make a new one, this universe will one day end as in Revelation 20: and chapter 21. So no, we are not the universe, but a creation of God, (who indeed made the universe Himself) and the Lord Jesus Christ will be worshipped forever, as He is King of kings, and Lord of lords. My friends don't get sucked into this pseudo religion about the universe, the lie of evolution, or of a universe that made itself out of nothing... those are lies, instead come to Christ Jesus, who alone can give you life, the Bible says in John 3:16-21 16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” These are truths, repent and believe the Gospel, and if you have a Bible read the book of the Gospel of John, if you don't have a Bible you can download one.

127 people have no sense of wonder....or it just makes them uncomfortable to know just how tiny and insignificant they truly are when you sit quietly face to face with the cosmos. I think it's brilliant and amazing to know how little I am but how immeasurably immense my mind can be and what a loss for words I am when looking up at the night sky. Thank you. The stars were so bright that you could literally read newspapers with. Still have those memories; just wish I had a good camera then. When I was a little child in Mexico. One summer I stayed with some humble old folks who were like my grandparents. This was in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere. At night it was pitch black and you could see the whole night sky lit up with thousands of stars. When I saw the milky way I asked them what that was. They told me that when people die, that was the path they took from the Earth to heaven. I remember being in awe.

One summer night, in my town, I was returning home after being at a friend's house. It would be 4 AM and to get to my house you have to take a couple of roads that are not illuminated, so I used the phone as a flashlight. Everything was dark and suddenly everything lit up. Fascinated, I looked at the sky and watched a large, bright white ball through the sky, it illuminated so much that it had transformed night into day, I had never seen anything like that. It lasted only about ten seconds, but I will never forget it. It must have been some meteor entering the atmosphere and disintegrating in the sky, just above my town. I have never seen anything similar.

Before there were bright cities, way before electricity is used. Our ancestors looked up to the sky daily and saw this magnificent sight 2:58. Probably contemplating what's up there and if we'll ever reach the stars. You who's reading this, like our ancestors, we probably won't make it in time to travel the cosmos. But we are just at the right time to witness how capable our species have become. We built machines that enables us to fly, 50 years after that we ventured into space and put a man on the moon, we sent machines to explore our neighbor planet, we were able to launch a spaceship into space and successfully landed it's parts back on Earth. We are achieving feats by the second, what more can we achieve years from now. That thought alone is enough to make me smile and hope for our future.

this is what to ignore when you watch this video: Job, marriage, children, fame, friends, family, money, relationships, stress, people, daily routines, cities and the list goes on... ignore all that. It's just you and the nature that brought you here. at this very moment, you exist in the presence.

This awe-inspiring sight prompts one to ponder: Who gazes down from above, observing as humanity carries on, often unaware of His presence, the magnificence of His creation, and His profound love for mankind, which goes largely unreciprocated.

The feeling of awed wonder that science can give us is one of the highest experiences of which the human pysche is capable . It is a deep aesthetic passion to rank with the finest that music and poetry can deliver . It is truly one of the things that make life worth living and it does so , if anything , more effectively if it convinces us that the time we have for living is quite finite.

When i grew up in Arizona, we often would go on road trips to the grand canyon, Vegas ( mom was a poker player, i just enjoyed the bellagio fountains and the buffet), or new mexico. It was a must to stop in the middle of nowhere on a lonely road a hundred miles from any town or gas station, we get out and lie down and gaze at the sky. The skies of the desert are so clear and dry that the milky way is very bright. Its amazing. You cannot count all the stars you can see, there are tens of thousands. The light of the galaxy was bright enough to light up the ground and cast shadows, and you could see the clouds of dust and pinkish white nebulas glowing up above. Other times a storm would come in, so we would park and watch the lightning bolts instead.

Coming here for my study break really eases away all the stress. The night sky is the definition of surreal and its a constant reminder of how vast our universe is and the fact that we are not alone. This is absolutely amazing. It's really great if you can look at this while seeing the sky as the stationary part. To us the sky is moving, but in reality we are the ones moving and rotating in space. Everything in the sky is coming into our view over time. It's a very eerie thing.
