Loved meeting you at the festival! As one of those colorful hair people and as an artist I am all about color. That is why I love your Making Tracks so much! At 64, I love making others smile when they see all my color. It just fits my personality. White hair is also lovely and should be celebrated. I like to think we live in a time where creative self expression can include embracing your natural appearance or create it! Your choice! Above all, keep your sense of humor!

So great to meet you both and that sweet Maeve! The selection of colors was gorgeous. I had no idea there were so many and seeing them up close made for a difficult decision so had to come back twice before deciding. Love your podcasts. Love your hair color, Peg!

Berry Cobbler would be a good name for the new version of Berry Jam. I need some of that color! And I love the Addi flexi flips, game changer for small circumference, best aspects of double points and magic loop combined. 😊

I like the colour as is, please don't change it, and i do enjoy your pod cast, ( golden blossom )

I was also thinking your new version of Berry Jam looks like Peanut Butter and Jelly to me. Thanks for another great millcast.

I have the Addi flexi flips and I think they would work well with your sleeves and the bobbles Amanda as they come with two different tips: rounder and pointier. I am also a fan of 9” circulars for sleeves.

Millcasts make Tuesdays fundays! The JFM yarn looks like sports team colors-- how about 'Varsity Hues'

Lisa L suggested peanut butter and jam for that color way, which is fabulous!! Also, addi flexiflips are great! You get three bendy needles... One side is blunter than the other, which makes it great for all types of yarn. Can't say enough! Thanks again for being here.... I truly enjoy your mill cast each week!

Your new yarn has color elements of a purple haze sunset that's what I immediately thought of; very beautiful.

Just yesterday I was knitting twisted rib in hairy mohair and it was a struggle. I switched from a 5 left hand needle to a 2, and so much better! I have quite a few vintage (1980s?) skeins that are so much hairier than today's typical kid silk yarns and will definitely use this trick again.

Hey there, loved hearing about the fiber festival. I had to laugh about your reaction to unusually colored hair. I am an artist, most of my friends are artists and having worked in animation for more than thirty years and being around people who are always trying to express themselves in all ways possible, I am always amused when I am reminded that there are workplaces that would frown on it. 😄

I started doing craft fairs around at age 2, according to an old newspaper clipping, and started my son at 3 or 4. He’s had his own table (with grandma) for three years now (since age 5). Definitely start training Maeve! Flexi flips can be good for children’s sleeves. Small circumference needles too. Really depends on the project, yarn, stitches, etc. And for knitting at night in a hotel with a baby (or anyone else who wants lights off early), go for the around the neck reading lights! As for earlier iterations of Berry Jam, I have a couple of good photos I can share if you’d like. The latest batch looks to me like a purple/orange sunset or something festive. Canyon Sunset? Sedona Sunset? Carnival? Or those pansies that are purple and orange or maybe African daisies? It’s beautiful, and very different from earlier batches, as you say, though other similar style yarns vary greatly too without changing the name of the colorway. Cheers!

Peg I 100% agree, a woman of a certain age realizes she is invisible. Also you reach an age and freeing attitude that you just don't care what other people think, if I like it I'm doing it!

Stopped dyeing my hair when diagnosed at 53 with sclerosing alopecia, which is permanent. Now going on 67. Have saved heaps of money going grey. The hairdressers love my grey colour and dont encourage me to dye it.
