@Yet.Another.Rapper.KiG.V23 жыл бұрын
@@Alienrun I mean, having good values, good character, etc. will certainly help, but unfortunately my friend, a lot of it is just luck. That's why I and many other people will fight tooth and nail to protect or resurrect worthwhile friends, because it's incredibly difficult to find such people. I haven't made a real friend for nearly a decade sans my girlfriend. This sounds like vague advice, but being "real" will filter out people who are superficial, as well as people that you were never meant to have a strong friendship with. This requires lots of groundwork, from learning to be honest with yourself and then others, to overcoming any fears of confrontation, to learning to saying what you really mean and really meaning what you say. Which all requires groundwork in conscientious, awareness, the basic building block of any real internal change. Externally, again, it is largely luck. If you feel you have exhausted the roster of people in your immediate life and its peripheries, you might have better luck in a different job, a different town, a different hobby, etc. Which then begs the question, how entrenched are you in said places, and how willing are you to discard them for something as risky as trying to find friendship. Think like the semi-ideal person you would be friends with: where are they right now? And then accept that, while they might more likely be there, they might also be someplace you would never think to look. The ugliest and lamest truth I can say is it will likely take time and patience, even once you find a candidate. None of this advice is geared specifically towards you, as I know nothing about you, but I hope you find inspiration in my personal experience in how I have found and maintained those who make my life worth living. I wish you the best of luck.

A more realistic depiction of GenAlpha would just be a pile of skulls in a desert wasteland.
@Yet.Another.Rapper.KiG.V23 жыл бұрын
Even if we miraculously manage to get our shit together and tackle climate change, the damage done to Generation Alpha will (as technology and psychology understand it today) irreparable. I cringe at the absolute stupidity of parents giving kids who can barely form coherent sentences an iPad, if everyone can collectively agree that Spongebob and cellphones and Facebook melted the brains of Zoomers, imagine twice the amount of brainlessness at half the age. Parenting should require a license.

Millennial here, born in 1985. I like Zoomers. I'm already feeling like we failed to make things better in our generation, and now my hope is that the next one will do better than we did. I like their humor, I like their passion and enthusiasm. I want them to succeed, and I think the best thing I can do as a millennial is to try my best to promote a world that supports the Zoomers' efforts. Provide for them what they need and get out of their way.

@@Pensive_Scarlet Well more so to avoid the slavery imposed by the encode, else thinking themselves individuals follow nature blindly by their basis indoctrinated, it has quite a hold on the hegemony for the goal of the encode not for the “good” of the consciousness inhabited. To sever the ouroboros by any method most optimal would be beneficial for the posterity. The singularity is of course to save the human race, the method: by making it obsolete. Though they will try to avoid it, much like climate change they are likely going to cross the boundary of no return. Else an extraneous variable will likely neutralise the population. Either way lesser there to be, lesser those to suffer such abomination. What a pyramid scheme this is.

@@juliawinters6781 Yeah I think it has something to do with most Gen-Z being the offspring of Gen-X and developing their identities by direct relation to their parents' values. A child would naturally take on some of their parents values, while rejecting those that do not fit with their modern sociological context. I think there's probably a similar phenomena with other generations: Boomers and Millennials/Millennials and Alpha.
