They had basically gotten all their anger out during the previous cyphers so this cypher is more about they are here to stay and they will only be going up from here. The chorus is fitting into the BTS message of loving and accepting yourself. This song is on the Wings cd but the next era after Wings is the Love Yourself trilogy so it fits in with their general message. This is the major message of BTS and why many people love and respect them so much. Def check out Ddaeng (kinda like a 5th cypher), Ugh, and the Cypher medley! Loved the reaction!

I like how the message is changing through the parts too! Like in the first one it's all about bragging while in all honesty they had nothing to brag about yet. The second and third deal with direct attacks on them and call out the haters. The fourth is them ascending above. That's why there is no part 5. They are so much more above everyone in terms of success and in terms of accepting themselves that they don't need to prove anything to anyone anymore.

Cypher 4 was purposefully made more as a song than as a genuine cypher Not only is that just a sign of BTS evolving more out of their rap centered eras but also them wanting the song to be listenable to listeners that don’t particularly enjoy hip hop (it’s more digestible to GP in a song format)

The last cypher is basically BTS getting rid of the hatred they had for the people who looked down on them. They know who they are and they love themselves. This was kinda them going into their album series Love Yourself era which lasted 3 albums of them speaking about loving oneself. I recommend watching the Live Cypher Medley performance 2017 where they mash up all the cyphers together it was amazing!

Great reaction! One of the many reasons BTS stands out from other kpop groups is because they have a strong rap line. RM and Suga were into rap/hip hop before joining BTS so they really know the craft. Many ‘rappers’ in other groups are just assigned the part when they join their group but are not true rappers.
