Such an odd configuration, a dual boxer engine of sorts. Neat though.

As I understand it, this engine was installed in the basement or lower storey of the oil field company's compressor house. A flat belt ran directly from the flywheel through the ceiling/floor to the compressors on the floor above; the H-Frame 'boxer' layout provided the most power for a space-limited environment.
