MILLHAVEN - Complete Mapleshade MAP

After nearly 2 years of making, Millhaven is done and I couldn't possibly be happier with the final outcome! The participants did a truly incredible job with their parts and it's thanks to them that this idea of mine could have been brought to life. I am also really thankful for all the recognition this MAP has gotten over all those months and for all the support I myself have gotten regarding it - it still feels like a dream come true ♥
We can all now finally sit back and watch the finished project, enjoy!

I honestly love when songs get more progressively aggressive with all emotions running through the singers voice. It really does fit Mapleshade, sounding sweet with her kits then as the story goes on she progressively loses her mind. Amazing

I absolutely agree! Like, it starts out really calm but it really gets emotional or violent at the end, I immediately love it.

I realized that when she says “You do not know the day nor the hour-” she’s talking about when you die. And it begins with her saying that only God knows when you will die, and ends with her knowing too. Implying both that she is god, and then she controls when you die (because she’s the killer.)

I am polish and I remember hearing this song over 10 years ago. When I saw some parts from this map on youtube, I got really excited to see the finished result for this project...and I am not disappointed! The overall mood and colors are gorgous and they fit the dark tone of the story. Good job everyone!

AGHHH THIS WAS SO AWESOME! The animators did so great and I love how it gets progressively more creepy. I can't wait for when the subtitles will be added, I'll definitely rewatch it with them on. im polish and this map is a literal masterpiece! songs in other languages aren’t very common among maps, especially from smaller, lesser known countries! but other that that, i simply ADORE the eery tone of this, and how it all slowly builds up from calm and ‘normal’ to angsty and insane. overall, im so happy youtube recommended this to me! :D

I LOST THE PREMIERE AAAAAA⁴ Ok but first off, the polish version of the song fits this map so well :D I really like how Loretta in this sounds more and more angry after being discovered as she sort of believes she was only doing God's wishes, like Mapleshade seems more and more angry as the book goes as she believes she's doing the best for her dead kits! Also I adore the grayish color palette with all the browns and yellows, it really fits the tone of the song too! The map in general looks wonderful and was well worth the wait! ^^ Everyone did a fantastic job in making their parts fit the mood of the map overall, great job everyone involved :)

The song choice is just so PERFECT for mapleshade omg- So many ppl neglect the fact she was a religious zealot who justified all her actions in the name of Starclan. Tolkien when creating language of orks and goblins was inspired by Slavic languages. These have more emotional inteligence than English coz in these you can express if you perceive emotions as a part of you or identifies with them. For instance in English you cannot say "I angered myself at him" it is incorrect grammar but in Polish you can. Identifying with emotions means lack of control over them.

During the whole song, when she says "nie znasz dnia ani godziny, tylko Bóg je zna" (translate to: "you don't know the hour or the day, only God knows them"), in the end, since the four Clans and StarClan have more or less forgotten her, she says "nie znasz dnia ani godziny, znam je tylko ja" (translate to: "you don't know the hour or the day, only I know them"). Since the clans forgot her, her murders' hour and days are only known by her.

AHHH!!!!! This is so beautiful, it perfectly illustrates Mapleshade’s bitterness as FESTERING, which is what it was, rightful bitterness, a type that festered. It really shows her as sorrow and mistreated but doesn’t excuse what she’s done by showing her as some kind of wretched playwright. With her deep raspy voice, and dark eyes, the music + atmosphere + visuals all tying that together, showing how gruesome her crimes were. What a beautiful and haunting map. I love it!! Edit: her voice going softer around her kits + crookedpaw was a really nice touch.

HOLY SHIT THIS CAUGHT ME OFF GUARD I love how the art subtly changes throughout the video to match the tone of the singer's voice. refreshing to see a map better showing how actually insane mapleshade was and that she wasn't just a misunderstood mommy but a narcissist. no one in that story was truly innocent save the kits, Perchpaw, Myler, and Reedshine, but people so often like to portray Mapleshade as the hero :/

I'm so glad to finally see this MAP finished! As soon as I saw HarvestBrook's entry (that's where I first heard of the MAP) and heard the song, I just couldn't wait to see it in it's complete glory. I like that we got it so close to Halloween (it's currently not Halloween where I'm at). The participants did a fantastic job bringing this idea to life. And I love a good murder story with a creepy (for lack of better words) song to go with it. Music from foreign languages can be really cool to listen to. I like the grim atmosphere too. The part in the credits of aditional art did remind me that I should probably redraw the fanart I did for this MAP a while ago. Looks weird when I look at it now, haha (mine would be the one with 'MelancholyBee48' underneath it). But I'm glad you seemed to like it, garevka :)

OK. For one, the map is AMAZING. The color palette, the talented animation, etc. It's all amazing! And second, I would like to thank the song, because it inspired me to learn Polish. I'm still learning, but I probably never would have started if I didn't see this map. And specifically this map. I don't usually go around searching up Polish songs, but what I do usually do is go around and search up Warrior Cats maps.
