Sorry Kripp, but that works as intended. Effects that SET the mana cost of a card (like Millhouse or Naga Sea Witch) happen before effects that CHANGE the cost (like giants or that Nerubian Unraveler).

Daniel Lemon I agree. Millhouse tells your spells cost 0 next turn, and so they do. Nerubian unraveler tells the spells cost 2 more, and so they do. 0+2=? It’s the same with the “naga-giant” decks in the past. Those Giants did not cost 5 but because of their effects they did.

That's how it should work and its consistent with things like maiden of the lake and its interaction with saboteur. If the maiden was played first then saboteur your hero power costs 6, but if its the other way around your hero power costs 1.

I think the reason that happened was because the order that it happened no house gave its zero but then that card showed up to give the addition to Mana I think if it was the other way around you would have been fine. Or it could be a bug I don't know

Prediction at 0:55 before watching the game: Kripp didn't realize that overload is not part of the cost, but actually an effect listed in the card text that triggers regardless of what affects card costs (which is why when other cards play cards for you, you still supposed to receive the overload)..

This bug would make more sense if Millhouse didn't work with echo cards, but since it does, it seems weird that it would do this. If it only made all spells in your hand cost 0 and in your deck cost 0 for the turn, this bug would make sense, as the effect would trigger, than be done, but since it does work on your echo cards, or if you were able to combo it with that priest legendary, that would also work, it means that the effect checks in after every new card, or something along those lines. With THAT being the case, this shouldn't have happened.

No bug. He ended up evolving one of his minions into a Spells cost 2 more minion, and that overrode the "set the base cost of spells to 0 this turn" effect of Millhouse.

he didn't "overrode", it just applied after. Millhouse's effect is "aura effect" and therefore applied before constantly ignoring everything else, except other aura type effects. In case of aura types, they applied in order of card played. So, because that minion was generated after millhouse, it applied after it. P.S. Loatheb also aura type. If you play loatheb and then millhouse - your opponent's spells will cost 0. If you play millhouse and then loatheb, then all spells will cost 5.

It seems more like anti-synergy to me - first Millhouse's battlecry changed all spells' cost to 0 for the rest of the turn, then Unstable Evo created the 5/5 nerubian which in turn increased the cost of all spells by 2, but for the most part the order plays the main part here, or at least I think so. If Millhouse was played while the nerubian was already on the board Kripp's spells might've costed 0, but I'm not sure.

i think millhouse's battlecry set spell cost to 0, it's not like sorcerer's apprentice which effect keeps going on until removed it's just a one time thing, so when a minion increase cost of spell after millhouse's battlecry, it just become spell cost 0 + increased cost, in this case 2 mana seriousgranade actually i don't even think order matter, because nerubian effect is something that is effective until he's removed, so wether millhouse is played after or before nerubian probably doesn't matter because he'll increase cost of spell by 2 anyway

Millhouse's effect isn't a one time thing its a one turn thing. If you use a spell to draw/create another spell it too will cost 0 mana. If Millhouse is played last the spell cost should be set to 0 for one turn as the cards text says. Creating logic to match the outcome is a poor way to do things. Rules exist to make things predictable. The rules obviously fail here because the cards' text contradicts each other.

Except it wasn’t just “suddenly the spells cost 2”... he unstable evo’d a nerubian unraveler(which is an ongoing effect: spells cost 2 more) AFTER millhouse manastorm, which is a BATTLECRY, was put into play. So unstable evo cost went from 1 to 0 to +2. Learn how mechanics work m8.
