The 1st male dancer to enter is Ron Field, who choreographed the number. The 2nd male dancer is Tom Rolla, who later founded and owned Tom Rolla's Gardenia Supper Club in Hollywood. Ron died in 1989. Tom died on December 26, 2017. I watched this production on TV with my mother & father in 1968. Tom was my older brother. Our hometown was Philadelphia, PA. Rest in Peace, Tom ...........Dominic A. Rolla 10/13/19.

And Warner Bros. foolishly thought that Lucille Ball could pull off Mame at age 63! Lansbury would have blown audiences away!

Lucy was always a much bigger star than Angela Lansbury that’s why. The film bombed not because of Lucy but because of the lousy director and even worse script.

This is absolutely WONDERFUL! Anyone who only knows Angela Lansbury as an older woman on TV's "Murder She Wrote" are in for a great shock when they watch this. Angela Lansbury could certainly sing and dance up a storm when she was young! I love that part where she does the SPLITS - oh my gosh, this is great camp! Love it!

One of the greatest multi-talented actresses of all-in-one time! And a very gorgeous one too! I hope and pray the Oscar organization Will give this highly -respected actress of movies, theatre, and t.v. their Honorary Oscar as Miss Lansbury deserves it so much. Miss Lansbury won her first Oscar nomination on her very ist movie Gaslight when she was 18.And two more nods followed suit, with no win. I think with Miss Lansbury's body of work, the Oscar would be a an icing on the cake.

she was very young at MGM.. but won an AA for "Picture of Dorian Gray" at age 20.. and watch her in "The Harvey Girls" 1946.age 21 and playing a hardened saloon "entertainer" she doesn't miss a trick.. I think she had a difficult time during the 1950s.. and got her footing again with "Manchurian Candidate" and "All Fall Down" Just incredibly talented.. she was a gift...

This number should have convinced Warners she was the only person to play MAME onscreen. When asked, who should play in any remake of Auntie Mame, Roz Russell said the only person would have to be Cher! She said she was the only one madcap enough to pull it off in her opinion. Instead, they got that follies at the geriatric ward with Ball. Landbsury would have been great.
