Quick tip: They make a bottle of solution you add to your live well; after you catch a fish just dunk it in there for 15 seconds. The solution coats the fish and prevents/clears up skin conditions like that one. See it a lot with warm water fish 🤙tight lines

I came across a hydrilla clump years ago out off the weed line maybe 15 yards and caught 16 of the biggest crappies of my life. That one clump was one packed hotel. Thanks for explaining how and why you fish. Knowledge is the best.

This is my first year trying glide baits. Throwing Speed Glide, Baby Bull Shad, Baby Bull Gill, and Contender. Throwing them a lot, and no fish yet. I will keep trying because its a fun way to fish.

What was the plastic bait you were throwing when you converted to top hooking it? I think shad baits do well in most situations. That appears to be about 7” and weighted. Would to purchase a few in different shad colors.

Im pretty sure its either osprey line thru swim-bait or smash tech line thru those are the only really two that look like that bait but I know its either one but Im pretty sure its a osprey tho hope thats helps

Probably the one time when hydrilla is a good thing. Lakes here in the Carolinas are trying to prevent hydrilla from becoming invasive. They actually put grass carp in the water to eat the hydrilla, crazy.

Well done. Solid baits Some of the bass crowd are as nutty as the fly guy crowd that we have out here. Find the fish, & present a decent bait correctly. That's 99% of it. If the bass doesn't notice 6 hooks & 30lb braid, its not gonna care that your uncle hand painted it
