Every fisherman has the same equipment Ben has and they aren’t as good as Ben is. It’s not the boat,graph,motor or bait. Went there all weekend and I’ve been fishing Wheeler most of my life. It was great Saturday, the wind was light and the eel grass wasn’t floating so I could through a crank bait. Sunday there was terrible wind and it was impossible to fish deep so I flipped some docks and did pretty good. Caught many between the 2-4 lb range and lots of fish less than 2lbs. Love that lake.

I have always heard that you want more of a mod bend rod for such applications. I have always liked a faster taper with a little more backbone for deep cranks. Watched that podcast you did with Matt.. He knew exactly what he was doing. If rolls were reversed he would have flipped out big time. Can tell how is attitude was when he was trying to justify. It’s like bro You didn’t tell him not to fish there. He’s a co angler they fish these tournaments as well but have there own standings and money pot they get randomly placed with a different touring angler everyday of the tournament it’s a great way to get involved in competitive bass fishing without needing your own boat etc…with
