I don't care what you are catching, its just lots of fun watching you fish these little creeks and streams with all the objects in your way. I love fall fishing and hope you still have some more wading trips before fall turns into winter. 🐱

Love watching your videos.... I fish in Northern Indiana on the St. Joseph River. I started using the Nikko Hellgrammite because of you and had great success through the whole summer. These last 3 weeks or so have been different for me though. Not as much action. I switched to small plastic swim bait with jig head. Specifically the Z-Man shad fryz and i am back to getting as much action as I was in the summer with the Hellgrammite. I read the small mouth are keyed into bait fish to fatten up for the winter.

You should go fish the finger lakes in upstate New York if you are ever up that way. They are loaded with those red eye rock bass but they get pretty dang big plenty over 2lbs and those aren't the giants just the good ones
@repairdriveАй бұрын
Did all those log jams come from the recent storms?

Unfortunately, we only have a few more weeks before the time changes, and then it's dark at like 5. It's supposed to get in the 30s at night this week here in NW AL, so creek wading is pretty much over for me until next year. 👊👍
@CreekFishingAdventuresАй бұрын
yeah it gets hard to do this after time change

How far from home you gotta travel to find you some smallmouth? Seems you said there aren’t any close to your area?

at the very closest about 45 minutes, but to some of the good creeks around 2 to 4 hours

why not release the small fish the same way you release the big ones?

Because they all deal with much worst than how they are released.

When you are walking the bank to get to another spot and you have to cross a log, I recommend not swinging your leg over and putting you foot down. Especially with shorts. Several years ago was doing the same thing and when I swung my leg over and put my foot down on the other side of the log, I got tagged by a copper head. it ruined about two weeks of my fishing. Anyway, I am just trying to help you avoid the same mistake I made. Doctor said it would have been a different story if it had been a cotton mouth. Apparently copper heads although highly venomous, not quit as bad as a cotton mouth. Plus the doctor said he wasn't sure if he had dumped a complete load of venom in me. Still a bad day for me.
@JamesWebb-q7rАй бұрын
Copperheads usually won't kill you
