Milling alternative flours can be a challenge in some mills. Today we're testing out the Mockmill Lino 100 to see how it mills chickpeas, cornmeal, basmati rice, brown rice, and chia seeds.

I bought a Mockmill last year, got the 200. It has the off-white plastic canister. I love how the wooden one looks, but the cost was just a bit more than I felt comfortable purchasing. It has been a wonderful addition to my kitchen. Love using fresh ground flours. I discovered a red Dent corn this year called Bloody Butcher...I just think the name is too funny! I'm planning to make my own red cornmeal this year! I know the cornbread won't truly be red...more of a reddish brown...but I'm so excited to finally actually grow a grain, mill it, and bake with it...a real life Little Red Hen! Love your videos! Blessings, Marie

oh my goodness!! I'm excited FOR you!! so cool. I'd love to hear how your first loaf of cornbread turns out! (and see a picture) I've been curious how the 200 compares to the 100, if it mills even better/finer/faster since it's considered a more professional grade, I think? Wouldn't it be fun to line up all the brands of mills side by side and spend the day milling flour to compare them all?

I bought the Mockmill Professional 200 a few weeks ago. I have been using the mill several times weekly. I love the machine. My only regret is not purchasing it sooner.

@@MichelleVisser I avoided flour because of the effect it had on me. Almost instant bloating and the occasional rash. It did not matter what type of organic flour I used. I tried them all, and so I avoided consuming flour years ago. I still baked a lot of bread at home. However, I did not eat them. My family did not seem to have those issues. Now? I can eat what I create. I eat whole foods and have noticed improvements since introducing freshly milled flour. I had this raised nodule on my right index finger about two months ago. I knew it was my body responding to something; however, I was at a loss on what to do to eliminate it naturally since nothing was working. The specialist recommended outpatient surgery to drain what she thought was fluid-filled. No, thank you. After consuming my freshly milled grain, that nodule is almost gone within 15 days. It's the only thing I've done differently. This was possible after watching a few BreadBeckers seminars and the results of eliminating warts.

do you mean you have the off-white/plastic looking one? Yes, I could definitely do another future video that includes that one in the explanation.
