I paid $90 for a Mill tutorial ebook from Emastercam and when it came to setting up the contouring on a simple external step, the instructions simply did not work. Not only that but the tutorial ended up setting up for conventional milling instead of climb milling. What a waste of money. Your video has gave me a much better understanding of this type of setup, so thank you very much. I love the way you explain things slowly, methodically and clearly. Great stuff.

great video, I always like straight line cut. Shortest distance between to points? less time and machine wear.

What is the difference between finishing pass on dept of the cut and the multipass?
@TomStikkelman5 жыл бұрын
Multi pass controls the step over. Depth finish pass only controls depth of cut.

This is an interesting approach, but there's a standard option for "Pocket". On "Cut Parameters", go to Pocket Type and select "Open Pocket"

What doses roll cutter do?
@sebastiantaylor26002 жыл бұрын
Inserts arc moves around corners in the toolpath. None: guarantee all sharp corners. Sharp: only roll the tool around sharp corners (135 degrees or less). All: roll the tool around all corners and create smooth tool movement. The radius of the arc moves equals the radius of the tool. This option is available only when compensation in computer is turned on.
