A little peacefulness to calm my brain. Many thanks.

I always enjoy that drive. I’m looking forward to it again this September when we go backpacking in the Weminuche Wilderness. Thanks for sharing!🙌

Love the Million Dollar Highway! I've driven it twice. Once during peak fall color & in early spring, still covered in snow. Both were incredibly beautiful. I need to spend a couple weeks hiking in this area. Thanks for the video!

Done it in the snow, fall and now summer. It's incredible. Love that area.

Thanks Jerry and Tina For The Memories. Haven't traveled that since the very early 80s and it was spectacular then as it is now!

Appreciate this channel so much. The relaxed vibe, beautifully filmed, amazing places. I never miss watching these. Helps me get my outdoor fix. You two are awesome, thanks!

Been there. This was my first solo trip to reconnect with peace. And BONUS , i went in the fall, so the mountains were a beautiful golden yellow. Its such a beautiful place. Thank you for the rekindled memories. Love to you both.

You're welcome. This area is mind blowing when the leaves change.

The Narrow Gauge from Durango to Silverton in the fall at peak color time is a trip not to be missed….lots of hiking to do and off roading with CanAms or RZRs is a ton of full there as well in Silverton! One of our favorite adventures to do.

Shoulda hit me up, I was staying a mile up the road from Pinkerton while I was in town for the Silverton Marathon!

Dude, you're a maniac. No way I could keep up with you anymore. I'm surprised you didn't run to Colorado.

I love the Million Dollar Highway. There's a pullout/overlook at the Idarado Mine. From there you can see the Yankee Girl Mine shaft building. Probably my favorite old mining building I've been to. Thankfully it's been placed in a Trust to keep it from being torn down or moved.

National park worthy scenery but it doesn't look nearly as crowded. I will be there for 2 weeks in late August and early September and have a lot of scenic drives and hikes planned. Have you driven the Alpine Loop?
@jerkhardly4993 Жыл бұрын
The Alpine Loop is the pinnacle of Colorado drives!!! A must if you have four wheel drive or the capacity to rent a razor atv
@Don-md6wn Жыл бұрын
I have high clearance 4WD. I'm planning to take 3 days to do the loop with some hikes provided I can find campsites. It looks too good to rush through.
@JerryArizona Жыл бұрын
We did part of Alpine Loop a few years ago. Messed up and got in way over our heads on a side route. Beautiful though.

Been on that road a few years ago and heading to Colorado and Yellowstone in a few weeks. We just came back from Iceland and a few hikes there + Volcano

A very scenic and dramatic road. I travelled through to Ridgway then a loop South to Dolores, Cortez camping ( tent) at Mesa Verde Nat'l Park. Never forget it, out of this world.

What, no Taco stop at the end?....Left my stomach grumbling!

Haha! We actually STARTED this day with tacos. Just didn't fit into the vibe of the video.

Hey Jerry, first of all, I love the content that you and Tina share with us on here. You guys are top notch! I am building my 1st generation Toyota Sequioa for over landing right now, and I’m curious about the suspension, and tire size that you are using on your 4 runner, and how it has performed in all of your travels! I have never seen you have any trouble. I hope this message finds you both doing well! Thanks Brian Vititoe
@JerryArizona Жыл бұрын
Man, I wish I knew more about it, but I'm the last person you want to ask about cars. We got our Toyotas lifted (leveled, really) and I forget the type/size of tires. Definitely want to ask someone who knows more about it than me. Sorry I'm not much help.

No worries Jerry! From what I can tell it looks like you get where your going relatively trouble free, and that’s all that matters! Thanks so much for sharing this part of your life with us! It is so helpful when your trying to plan a trip, and hoping to get the most out of every moment available!

I am soooo jealous right now 🤩 that was my backyard for over 20 years…I think that you drove by one of Colorado’s best backpacking destinations….ice lakes basin 🎉 and I sure hope you went to orvis hot springs , just sayin

We've hiked Ice Lakes a couple times. Meant to backpack it this trip but too much snow up there. Amazing trail. Amazing area.

Do you like being chauffeured? I see Tina driving most times when together as a couple. We have done the Million Dollar Highway many times. The scariest was in Oct in a blizzard with snow 6 inches deep over the pass. By time we got to Silverton, the road was closed down for the rest of the day.

I don't mind driving, but she loves it and I....I'd rather not have to concentrate. Works out perfectly.

I spent 6 weeks in Silverton/Ouray/Telluride area offroading every single day and driving million dollar highway daily. 2000 miles offroad and navigating the 550 daily. The only way to describe just how incredibly beautiful San Juans are... is "indescribable".
@JerryArizona Жыл бұрын
Wow! 6 weeks? I'm jealous. Love the San Juans and I'm already missing them.
@SherylAZ Жыл бұрын
Beautiful. However, your video did NOT convey the sheer terror I felt the first 10 miles headed south of Ouray. My dog didn't move one iota during that 10 miles.
@JerryArizona Жыл бұрын
I tried! The lack of railings definitely guarantee you keep your eyes on the road.
@libertyvilleguy2903 Жыл бұрын
Yikes! One false move and some elk hunter would find you 1,000 feet below, about three years from now.
