ABOUT THE STURGIS MOTORCYCLE RALLY
The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is the largest motorcycle rally in the world. It is held annually in The Black Hills and in Sturgis, South Dakota for 10 days during the first week of August. It was started by local Indian dealer Pappy Hoel in 1938. Since its beginning, private area businesses throwing events such as races, concerts, and rides have made, and continue to make, the Sturgis Rally what it is today. 2023 will mark the 83rd annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

ACTUALLY, the Vacation scene that was filmed at the Strater Hotel is when Chevy Chase tries to write a personal check because he lost all his cash and he eventually robs the cash register. I don’t know where the shotgun scene was actually filmed, but the scene in the movie was portrayed to be in Dodge City, Kansas, not the Grand Canyon. I think your boy Luke got some bad information, or his Google machine wasn’t working properly.😁 Thanks for another great video guys. Keep ‘em coming!👏

I was at Sturgis this past year (2023). You are right. This year’s Sturgis rally rained far more than my past trips. It rained so much that I decided to pull out a little early. I left on Tuesday after staying Friday-Tuesday morning. Normally, I’d be there Friday-Friday. It just didn’t seem like a break was coming. I still had a good time. And, the ride home for me included Colorado. I just live in the opposite direction from you all.

It was a rainy one for sure! From the sound of it, they got a nice break in the rain a day after we left. Weather is all a part of the equation as you know, but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. Thanks for tuning in👍

Altitude sickness is no joke. There are vitamins that will save your life but I don't recall what they are. I had it in Breckenridge/Vale CO. Thought I was going to die. Thanks to a local for hooking me up.

Just rode that same path for the Four Corners Rally in Durango. You guys missed a good time. That rally is starting to turn around and getting back to it's former glory. Too bad it was raining over Red Mountain Pass the shots could have been incredible.

Hi Guys, Kaycee fae Bonnie Scotland checkin' in. Another great drop. Myself and Mrs Kaycee stopped of in Silverton a few years back, Think we stayed at the "Triangle Motel". Visited the "Highest HD shop in the world" and some Gem stone store which had a connection to the Titanic. Loved travelling the Million Dollar Highway. Our weather was a bit better than yours.
