That's ridin'. In 2020 I rode from Vinnie's house in Sturgis, SD to my house in Victorville, CA left 5:45 am got home at 10:45 pm. 1,250 miles. Stopping only for gas, restroom and gatorade. 100 degree heat most of the day. Jean, NV to Victorville was 92 degrees at night. No traffic, vest and long sleeve t-shirt. the ride was heaven.

Guys I’m proud of you! I did the exact same thing, I left Sturgis at 7am, got rained on, rode 18 hrs all the way back to Window Rock, Az on the Navajo Nation! I got home at 1am, over a 1000 miles baby! Gas and go is all I did, I finally ate at Pueblo, CO! It was an awesome ride, I was tired but live to talk about it! It was gnarly and I wouldn’t change a thing!

You guys are OG's for this one. I always recommend doing at LEAST 500 miles to know what biking is. No static to those that don't. But the challenge is skmething to be proud of! If we ever meet, I'll buy the first round of beers.

Gotta do it at least once! We've done a handful of these over the years and although a bit taxing, there's always something to be learned along the way. Thanks for coming along for the ride. We'll catch you out there someday🍻

Gaylin. It’s amazing how good he is with SA (situational awareness). He’s the guy everyone needs on road-trips. It’s very apparent he studies the routes and trips beforehand.

I did a non-stop solo ride from NJ to Iowa on Rt. 80 under a time crunch, while facing terrible weather for 2/3 of it, and on completely the wrong bike for long distance riding. It was snowing fairly hard in the middle of the night at one point, and I just had to keep going. I completely misjudged how difficult it would be in the cold. I had to take a break every rest stop, and take short naps toward the end. I figured I could just send it, but in hindsight I was totally unprepared, haha. It was both brutal and awesome! So I think I sort of understand the sensation, but your vibe was definitely so amped and positive with such a great group. I'm sure that made overcoming the adversity such a rewarding shared experience. Thanks for making the videos of your trip! I watched from the Thrashin perspective as well.

Brutal and awesome usually go hand in hand! We've been in similar situations and the going can definitely get tough. Lesson learned for next time though. Luckily, the weather was perfect this time around. Thanks for tuning in!

LOVE IT! Done this 3 times......but not in 15 hours, more like 20 hours. However, we are on the east coast....so crappy traffic and you just don't want to push your luck with the speed limit by too much. Especially in Virginia. 80+ there is a mandatory court appearance ( and supposedly driver's license suspension...but if you go to court they usually waive that). It's tough, and you sure sleep well when it's over.

Yup, the most important part is staying safe. On wide open desert roads, you can typically cover some distance, but it's tough in a lot of areas.

I live in Las Vegas where we hardly ever get rain but when I went to Sturgis, I picked rain from Utah all way up to South Dakota. I was happy that I trailered my bike however I did ride 3 of my six days in rain while in Sturgis. PS when you’re in Vegas you may like The M or SouthPoint on the south side of Las Vegas Blvd.

Great video all around. Looks like a great trip with lots of energy. Longest I've ridden is about 600 miles from Baltimore to Augusta GA. Ride down was off and on rain ending up in pitch dark rain for the last hour. Ride home was awesome, beautiful weather and making great time. I have an older Dyna with touring bags and a nice windshield but I need sound. Curious what comms gear you guys use as it sounds like it works well?
@2LaneLife
@2LaneLife Жыл бұрын
Thanks for tuning in! Glad you enjoyed this one. We all use the Cardo PackTalk Edge comms and they're solid, especially in a big group. We've tried a handful of other brands and nothing compares. All voice activated so no need to take your hands off the bars to talk, use siri, change volume, song etc and you can record the groupd conversation using the app which is what we did for this video. Much recommended. We'll put a link down below if you feel like checking them out. You should be able to save some coin with the code "2lanelife" as well. cardosystems.rfrl.co/nyn35

Hey guys forget a thousand miles the two longest rides I’ve done was New York to savannah Georgia on a 76 Superglide when I was 19 and New York to Myrtle Beach in one shot in the pouring rain 3/4s of the way! 12 1/2 hours one shot in my late 40s. So that really doesn’t impress me but over 3000 miles in 10 days is pretty incredible. You guy’s rock! Good crew too!👏🏻👍🏻

Unbelievable you would promote this length of time on a motorcycle road trip. (I own a Harley, take road trips) I see some of the comments below saying that you inspire young riders. But as we know, young riders are novice too. Promoting this many miles just to get home and out of the rain also prompts fatalities. Because if you could do it, they might try it. You guys are also selling motorcycle gear. Just saying, maybe not a great idea to tie recklessness with promotion of your products. (and yes, I am the same person that said showing you cruising your bike at 90+ miles an hour on video may not be a great thing to do) Look, I am not trying to be "jerk" commenter. I get the bike experience. But, we sometimes only get a few opportunities to tie in what is right to do, then rather what is cool to do for those who watch us.
