This girl genuinely doesn’t know anything about properties… It is a business! I also worked for estate agents, landlords don’t put any price they want. It is not how it works. It is the market price as for cars, food, phones. To save, go in a smaller accomodation, rent a room, an hmo or study and get a better education and improve your life! Why is she so angry because she needs a roof. We all do. I rented, too. It is not a new concept. What’s her point?! My tenants keep thanking me for how high standards I refurbished the properties for them. She only knows bad old mentality landlords. We are not all like that!!!!

Samuel should have explained the point that 'you are either renting property or you are renting money'. If she can understand that concept, then she might understand that the landlord is normally renting money. Currently she has no idea what it has cost the landlord to supply her property. She thinks £60k rent is £60k income, when it might even be a loss after recent government changes (hence why landlords have been selling up and rents are being increased to cover new costs).

Just a quick correction, section 21 and Section 8 are 2 different types of eviction. She was talking about No fault evictions on families that have done nothing wrong and paid their rent only to be turfed out on the landlords whim (often due to the LLs own mismanagement of their financials) and samuel responded with a point about those not paying rent which would come under section 8 not 21! Two completely different scenarios that should not have been compared! However if the lady had done her research she may have been able to rebuttal better.
@AndyWWW
@AndyWWW Ай бұрын
Section 21 evictions are used by landlords because the tenant cannot contest it, it doesn't mean there wasn't fault on the part of the tenants it just means that legal proof/ argument is avoided. Landlords want to keep good tenants.

I agree with what you are saying once again 😂 if you build the properties (which by the way is helping solve the housing problem) you should 100% be able to profit from them. Also the “get a job” comment was dumb! Why would he get a 9-5 and be in the same financial situation she is complaining about. Just because we get taught in school that getting a 9-5 is how we should live the rest of our lives doesn’t mean it’s right. If you can find a way of income which by the way is completely legal that generates more money than working a normal 9-5 job then why not go for it? At the end of the day everybody is trying to make money.

If you hire an Uber, do you think you are putting money in the driver’s pocket, if you eat at a restaurant do you think you are putting money in the owner pockets. If you are not grateful to your landlord for providing you accommodation, move elsewhere, but camping gear and sleep in the park for free. The landlord has to put down a deposit that will take him sometimes 10 years to see his capital, he is at your beck and call to fix issues. Your landlord is not stopping you from buying your own home, immigrants are moving into the UK with no cash to their name, are able to work, rent save and buy a home with 2 years of moving here.

😂😂😂😂 your so funny and stupid at the same time, Samuel has been teaching people how to become financially independent, I have followed his content for couple of years now. Being a landlord is not easy, too many things can go wrong simultaneously and it’s our job to stay on top of things even if we have a management team, we still have to stay on top of everything. You should go and educate yourself on the difficult situations landlords face every day before assuming that we all are just sitting there doing nothing!!! We work very hard to provide great accommodation to tenants, and yes we want to make money otherwise what is the point??? I have heard testimonies of council tenants and I feel sad for them as the councils do not look after their properties and tenants have to wait for months if not years to get things sorted.

This woman should try shoplifting and robbing a bank and let the authorities know she's struggling, has a right to eat and own money too and see what happens to her. Both landlords and tenants need each other, neither are superior to one another as long as they're both doing their jobs - the landlord is fixing issues and providing a safe place to live while the tenant pays rent on time without drama or complaints.

Nothing is wrong with being a landlord, or even kicking out tenants. But realistically if every country had open borders and free off-city land (non regulated) what we’d see is people building their own houses and never suffering these problems. Which is fair and we can still have capitalism. For the light of men, but it would take the masses

Secondly landlord have obligations to fix properties called disrepair but like the way she rolls out the damp and mould one - nothing to do with tenant lifestyles. When she goes on about giving her landlord £60k then fails realise they pay tax to the government, repair the building, pay the mortgage and put a deposit down to buy it. Samual was gentle with her.

This is traditionally via social housing but regardless, she needs to be talking to her MP. Landlords aren't charities sadly. Also - £15k rent per flat - £1250 per month. this. the government is the problem. like most landlords including the rich, they do have a selfish endeavour to pit against tenants. The government is ultiamtelly making us all poor and they want us to own nothing and be happy. wtf is Mike Hunt and the whole cabinent including tory and labour in the WEF policies for 'you will own nothing and be happy'. they're all zionists too, in the sense of 'indiscriminate' against palestianns and their own innocent civilains (israeli),. Government can never criticize israel and always love them no matter what. i hate everyone equally, but I do really dislike moral injustice. The government is all corrupt, they play dumb all the time and people fall for it. they've gone to eton and the likes, and people tell me they're just stupid. They aren't... The effective agenda around the world is 'divide and conquer'. When people realise this, the world can heal. Because most people actually don't want to go out their way and stab their neighbor, not in this day and age.... bit of a rant but you get the gist of it.

Well, she’s clearly very inexperienced and naive. I can understand the frustration if she’s struggling for money & rent is a big part of her expenses, but this is NOT the landlords fault!! They are just trying to run a business & make the money they need to live life just like anyone else! Sure, the ones who are at the top of the game may have a more luxurious life, but the majority have had to work damn hard to get there. The majority of landlords are also empathetic & will try & help their tenants out- as long as they’re not taking the pi$$. Guess what though- the ones that don’t tend to care are big corporation owned housing- which is what people seem to be unwittingly campaigning for when they batter private landlords. From Sam saying that he is comfortable with evicting a family with the threat of possible homelessness to the lady who thinks that landlord's should run rentals on a non-profit basis. It is costing the government £1.7 billion to house what would otherwise be homeless people in b&bs and hotels. Landlords are ditching property rentals because of excessive red tape, additional stamp duty costs, high interest rates etc. The debate should be about incentives for landlords to stay in the game so we have more rental properties. Cut red tape, reduce additional stamp duty, maybe grants for renovating derelict properties to become rentals. Government could eliminate the £1.7 billion cost of b&bs and hotels.

There was a risk in the 2010s where effectively at 0.2% interest rates, and tenants paying rent was effectively paying your house, for free! and you benefited from house apprication. All the while people at this time really can't afford housing. Of course landlords who saw this, took advantage of it. While I wish I could own two properties, which I can't as I'm a young 20s person. Landlords will never achknowledge genuine self-interest greed. They never will. I think you'll find a lot of landlords who are overleveraged in debt in todays market with no hopes of paying it off on their low fixed rate deals will be struggling in the higher interest rates world. lets hope the rates go up to 15% and see them blown out the water. I've seen legit landlords call themselves millionaires, but then again, they don't, because they're not doing their networth, they're doing the assets (not taking away the HUGE liabiliteis). cretins all for show, they can f themselves.

People that want to use FORCE to take property that does not belong to them are evil. This guy built these properties. They belong to him. YOU want to take them from him. YOU are the evil one here.

Don't think you came off well in this. 1) "Who's going to pay for it?" You have many videos detailing how to avoid putting money down, which if they're true mean you're paying very little yourself. 2) Comparing housing to a laptop.... You can easily do without a laptop if you need to. Whereas you have to have a home. It's not yes or no, it's option a or b. I don't blame landlords for this horrible market for renters/aspiring homeowners. But the truth is this country doesn't have nearly enough housing and landlords are getting a bad rep for maximising the opportunity that presents. Which effectively is using a superior negotiating position to position yourself between a home and a person/family who needs a home to skim a profit for yourself. That's not the fault of landlords, it's not going to make them popular either though. It's the resident who's getting the worst deal though by massively overpaying because supply doesn't match demand.

Question for Samuel Leeds, do you think rent accommodation should be fit for human habitation? Genuinely just asking!

It's OPTIONAL to enter into a rental agreement! It's not like the landlord forced anyone. She's the type of person who would have bizarre takes on water being good for you.
